To think that this many mages in one place would have been considered a threat to national security just seven years ago amazed him when his eyes scanned over this place. Glancing to where the competing Guilds were seated, Dornae made several mental notes, but as he did so he noticed someone return and then begin to have a conversation in front of him. While there were of course other conversations around him, not to mention cheering here and there, this one was...odd. "Where?" one of the two asked as the other man rose from his seat, then hesitated in reaction. "There was something I need to find," he replied. His companion rose to his feet. There was determination in his eyes, "Coming." For a moment they were silent, then the first who had rose spoke, "It could be dangerous." At this comment, Dornae's eyebrow raised, before lowering, his eyes narrowing slightly. As the two made their way out of the stadium, he rose from his seat and approached the same exit they had just disappeared into. Glancing back at the battle in the stadium, he shook his head and swore under his breath. He was too curious for his own good. Heading out of the stadium, trailing the two in an inconspicuous fashion, Dornae made himself a part of the crowd, his body language unassuming, and his eyes randomly roving about as if he weren't watching the two and listening in on their conversation. It came to him that he'd probably be thought an enemy or a spy...or a creep, if they knew what he was doing. The two stopped vefore a building and the more talkative of the two spoke, "This is it. I had to stop here before because of the maze." He looked to the quieter of the two, "Ready?". He missed the response, and headshake, as a small crowd passed between his position and theirs. Frowning slightly he changed positions, but by the time he regained line of sight, the quieter one had donned some rather impressive looking black armor. Requip magic, his mind told him. He could even feel the magic's recent use, as he had the use of magic that the other man had used. As if mirroring one of his thoughts on the armor's craftsmanship, the talkative one commented,"That is some nice looking armor." Dornae felt himself smile slightly, but only for a moment before he glanced around. The man nodded his thanks and then, after a brief comment, the leader of the two kicked the door of the building open and entered, the structure closing behind them. Dornae wasn't sure what he wanted to do though, as they were clearly prepared for some mischief of a sort. It was notable that both had appeared to possess their own forms of magic, and one had donned armor so it was reasonable to assume that they'd be fighting. Who they were fighting, or why they were doing it were mysteries to him however, and that made for difficult decision making. Betraying his anxiousness, his hand had been playing with the edge of his belt, every so often brushing against his hunting knife. A long 10 seconds passed and then he gave in, extracted his Grandfather's dagger from its place on his pack, and strode forward hoping that he wouldn't have to draw Othisi before the end of this. The first thing he did was set to work on the wall of the building the two had gone into. As his magic channeled through the dagger he carved several runes into the stone wall, the weapon sheering through the material's surface as if it were butter. As he neared the halfway point he began to hum. Only seconds later he finished carving the set of runes into the surface and the moment he did he finished the humming and began supplying them with magical energy. He closed his eyes and felt the thrum of energy enter the rune system, and then immediately begin dispersing in an atom thin layer over the surfaces of the building's first floor. The energy, not thick enough to be visible, covered the floor, walls, and ceiling of the building. After 30 seconds, the entire process having taken 40, Dornae removed his palm from over the rune system and surveyed his work. To anyone who couldn't visualize magical energy or, conversely, sense incredibly minute amounts of it, there would be no noticeable change. However, if they had tried to break down the walls, ceiling, or floor of the building they would find it as unyielding as iron, but only if magic was in play. The material would not be resistant to anything except for magical influence, and the process was temporary. At most the runes would last about 15 minutes, but they were more likely to last around 8 or 5. The other effect he had applied to the building was one of “locking.” Any user of exceptional magical ability could not exit, but anyone with none could. Plus people—beyond himself as he'd added that exception by using his own energy—could not enter the building. This would mean that anyone that was likely to be innocent could flee, whereas others who might otherwise enter the premises and get hurt, couldn't. This would mean he'd managed to reduce property damage to 0 when it came to the building itself. Unfortunately applying the same enhancement onto any furniture or belongings therein would be...too difficult. They weren't connected to the building, and so he would have had to apply totally seperate enchantments to them. The only other way to do it otherwise would be to define everything in the space without magical energy as “protected,” but that would have taken more energy than it was worth and it would have been suspiscious as well. Smiling a bit at his work he took in a deep breath and then picked up a rock. He carved tiny runes into the pebble's surface. His dextrous hands, and deft movements, meant it only took several seconds. He did this a few times to 7 other pebbles, and then held them in his right hand, switching his dagger to his left. It was a good thing he was ambidextrous. "This better not get me in trouble," thought the enchanter as he finished accessing what he'd done. He then strode into the building, and felt the door be layered with the rune's enchantment as it closed. Hopefully the scene that he saw was not one of great worry, but he doubted that he'd be that lucky. He never was.
