And I made a ninja! Till The Snow Falls Character Sheet Appearance: I cannot for the life of me find a ninja illustration I'm happy with. Name: Kyou. No surname belongs to this family. Age: 19 Gender: Male Physical Description: Physically, Kyou sports a lean, athletic build. His facial features are sharp, with focused, sharp eyes and short brown hair. His hands and feet are covered in thick calluses, and his body sports the odd jagged scar from a cut healed wrong. Currently, he's wearing his battle-dress, a quintessential ninja outfit, with virtually no armor in order to remain silent during movement. A long scarf is wrapped around his neck and his face and head are concealed by a mask. Even in civilian outfits, Kyou takes care to hide his face with masks and hats. Skillset: Descending Falcon Style Ninjutsu - A martial art handed down through Kyou's family, this variant of ninjutsu is aggressive, placing more emphasis on ambushes and blitz tactics, making it useful for assassinations, especially out in the field. It also covers usage of stealth and assassination using various ninja weapons, including shuriken, short bows, toxins, grappling, survival skills, and all manner of dirty tricks. Kyou is aware of martial arts utilizing anything light and concealable, including farming implements. Kusarigamajutsu - The kusari gama is a sickle attached to a weighted chain. Kyou is extremely skilled in its use, and arguably more dangerous than most samurai would be with a sword. Tangling, slicing, and bashing from multiple ranges make this a formidable combat skill. Ninja Kenjutsu - The ninja utilizes primarily shorter swords. Kyou is knowledgeable in martial arts covering short blades; however, it's not a sword or martial art meant for direct combat, and is designed to be accompanied by side arms and tools held in the off hand. This is, of course, assuming stealth fails. History: Shinobi have always played a role in the military as spies, assassins, and bodyguards. Naturally, one such clan has remained in service to the shogun's right hand, a clan so devoted to its cause it refused to take up a family name. Kyou was born in the clan's ninja village, located in a nearby mountaintop. There, he spent much of his life training in the ways of the ninja. However, the Raremashita's refusal meant seeing few missions, even in the violent Sengoku era. However, as the clan's enemy's began closing in, Kyou and his clan began seeing more and more action, poisoning wells, assassinating lieutenants, and causing havoc among the enemy. During the final siege, Kyou's final order from his father was to protect their liege. As he disappeared in the flaming wreckage, Kyou emerged, regrouping with the other vassals, people whom he'd only met briefly, some not at all, some unaware of his existence altogether. As far as Kyou is aware, he's possibly the only member of his clan left alive. On his father's grave, Kyou has decided not only to complete the mission, but to restore his clan. Psychological Profile: Kyou is very no-nonsense, and highly disciplined. He often replies with very short sentences, when he does talk. Intense training has taught him to quell any doubt, fear, or rage, enabling him to act calmly even in the midst of turmoil. He also possesses a strong sense of duty, placing the safety of Raremashita family members above himself. His own life, reputation, and comfort is negligible. Likewise, he holds fellow servants to the same standards. Lastly, Kyou was taught to have a sense of utter ruthlessness. He is not allowed to hesitate or stop once given an order or objective. Once he decides on something, he ensures he'll get it done. Equipment/Weapons: Kyou's Wakizashi - A short sword, itself containing a variety of extra tools. The scabbard is longer than the blade, as the bottom is a removable container for medicine, and the scabbard has small slots to carry a pair of small throwing knives. The sword's pommel is also removable and has a small blade that can serve as a punch dagger. Kyou carries it on his back hip, horizontally. Shikomizue - A katana sword concealed as a walking stick. Slung across the shoulder in battle dress, but also good for civilian outfits. Kusari gama - A sickle with a long weighted chain attached. Though this flail is a deadly martial arts weapon, it's also a farmer's implement, meaning it can be carried in daylight without raising suspicion. Kunai - Originally farming implements, these short blades make useful knives Shuriken - Short, pointed stars made of cheap, disposable metal Caltrops - Designed so that a spike will always point upwards. These will pierce an enemy's sandals, poking into their foot. Metsubushi - A bag of sand Smoke bombs - When ignited, these cause a thick smoke cloud to blind the enemy. Mercury - A carefully sealed vial of mercury Cyanide - A carefully sealed vial of cyanide
