Relieved that they had finally regrouped with their comrades, Apex let out a deep breath that he didn't realize he had been holding, his metallic mask sliding away to reveal the rest of his face. He returned Crystal's hug, but didn't make moves to hug the others- hugging wasn't exactly his thing. As he gathered around the rest of them, Crystal explained the situation thus far, and gestured towards some sort of book laying on the ground. Giving a slight shrug, Apex picked up the book so he could examine it, and hopefully apply his intellect and rationality to the task. The book was an old looking thing, despite its clearly digital nature. Taking a closer look at the book, Apex read the series of riddles that explained their next task. The wording was extremely extraneous but Apex managed to understand the basic analogy. Holding the book out in front of him, Apex turned to the others. "It appears that in order to move on, we don't have to solve a riddle as much as we have to perform a task. Luckily for us, it seems simple enough. If I'm reading this correctly, this book wants us to write down what we value above all- something we couldn't be happy without." The book began to rustle in Apex's hands, and flipped over to an empty page. This was probably where they were to write down their deepest darkest secrets. Despite Apex's typically calm and collected visage, it was easy to see he wasn't exactly comfortable writing down his deepest values- especially on some random piece of digital paper, something that a group of hackers had no doubt created for them. Apex was loathe to write down something so sensitive in the wide open. Instead, he held the book out. "So... Who wants to go first?"
