He had been here at the library for a few hours and his eyes were starting to get tired. A low rumble echoed from his tummy, agreeing with the idea of leaving. Maybe he could swing by The Yesterday Café, say hello to his co-workers and grab a bite to eat before wandering around Main Street for a bit. No one was at home, Cas and AJ probably at work by now and Gale didn't like how empty the house could get when he was alone. The walls start closing in and Gale feels like he is the only person on Earth. So he wanders if he doesn't have work, crowds comforting him though it can get a tad bit overwhelming sometimes. Gale carefully shut the book he was currently reading and gently scooped the books up and put them back exactly where he had found them. He had heard rumors of the vampires treasuring the library and he didn't want them after him for messing up their books. He grabbed his messenger bag and swung it over his shoulder as he exited the library. He walked down the sidewalk until he eventually reached Main Street, the loud hustle and bustle washing over him. He stopped briefly at his work, exchanged a few words with Alicia, a girl that worked around the same time as Gale, before he bought some Beignets (Alicia tried to get him to take them on the house since he worked there but Gale refused) then stepped out of the shop and ate his pastry as he walked. The street was as busy as ever and Gale enjoyed watching tourists taking pictures of everything. He was just licking the last of the powered sugar off his thumb when he felt a hand land on his shoulder, turning Gale to face a black haired male. The man was tall though maybe not to other men, with sickly pale skin and pale blue eyes with bangs shadowing them. The man smiled at Gale and the boy winced at seeing the yellow teeth. "Hey sweetheart, how 'bout you and me go get a drink?" The man reached up and gently brushed Gale's cheek and the angel shivered at the feelings he sensed from the human man. Hatred, Anger, Greed, Lust... At that last one Gale managed to stumble away, polite smile straining his lips. "I-I'm sorry but I have to be somewhere..." With that Gale turned and hurried away as fast as he could. As the crowd closed around him Gale felt his breathing even out to a normal rate. He passed the Church of Versailles and bowed his head in respect. Familiar music drifted into his ears and he found himself following it as if being drawn by a magnet. A smile spread across his face as soon as he saw Samael sitting there playing his harp. The angel approached quietly and stood there listening for a few moments before he dug around in his pocket and inconspicuously dropped a $20 hidden in some $1's into the pot sitting next to the male. "I like your playing." Gale told Samael, a small blush forming on his cheeks. Hey honey, I wasn't done talking to you." Chills ran down his spine as hands grabbed him and spun him around. Gale stared up at the sickly man, heart beating like a trapped bird. Gale tried to twist out of the mans grasp but his hold was surprisingly tight for someone who looks so weak and a small whimper escaped Gale as he tried to wiggle away in vain. He couldn't sense the man's emotions because he didn't have skin-to-skin contact but he could see the anger shimmering behind the man's eyes and it made Gale shrink away, still trying to free his arms. This car was hard work with the number its driver had done on it with crashing into a pole and everything but Cas promised he could fix it up and he never went back on his promises. He glanced at the clock and stood, stretching his arms over his head and hearing several pops come from his spine. He sighed, setting his tools back in the box and washing his hands. He combed a hand through his head and looked around. He was the only one working in the garage and the place was pretty empty. He placed an 'out to lunch' note on the window, locked up and tucked the keys into his pocket as he strolled down the sidewalk. His stomach grumbled and he debated on where to go. His brother wasn't working today and besides, he wasn't really in the mood for pastries. Huskers sounded good. With that thought in mind, Cas whistled to himself as he continued walking. He soon reached the restaurant and slipped inside. He headed for a booth and slid into the seat, seeing that the place was as busy as ever.
