That's kinda where I was going with that. :P
The vanity of the Zeal and its citizens making clones with animalistic qualities and traits to either skin for genetic grafting by aristocrats who, say, want to have...well I won't suggest things that'd spoil anything.
My concept was of a genetically engineered fighter pilot with fast reflexes who'd been shot down and captured, being forced to face the 'enemy' in person.
