Autumn's eyes were as wide as saucers as she stared up at Blitz. She then turned her gaze to the air above her head. "A real dragon Aiden, can you believe it?!" The little girl whispered, smiling up at the floating spirit tied to her. She then turned back to Blitz. "Aiden thinks you're really cool. I do too!"

@XxLyraxX Blitz decided that a phantom of sorts seemed about right. "Thank you Autumn, I suppose dragons are pretty cool...." The dragon then reached up and straightened his hat. I'm a real dragon, all right. Not as if that ever did me or my kind much good in the end. Blitz ended up frowning, despite his efforts not to.

Autumn smiled up at Blitz though the expression dimmed a bit when she saw the man frowning. Was it something she said? Did he not like being called cool. She didn't like seeing people sad. The child stepped forward and wrapped her tiny arms around one of Blitz's legs, the only place she could reach really. She then smiled up at him. "Garry is the one that normally hugs people but since he isn't here to make you feel better I will!"

@XxLyraxX Blitz looked down in surprise at Autumn's small frame hugging one of his legs, but smiled after a short moment. He reached down and ruffled her hair gently. "I'm sorry, I was just thinking about something. I'm alright Autumn." Some kids her age act like incarnations of the Devil himself, but if Autumn is related to the Devil in any way, she certainly doesn't act like it. Blitz chuckled lightly.

"Seven, huh? That is a long time to be hiding out here." If he really thought about it, the story probably got even more melancholy even with just these details. He'd have to remember to come visit more often after this whole crisis.

For the time being, however, he shook his head and gave a goofy smile toward the girl. "Any idea where she lives in the house? If I've had a neighbor here this whole time that I've never even spoken to, I should at least retroactively greet them, right? It's silly, but maybe it's a good opportunity, you know? We could bring some baked goods or a meal or something for an excuse."

"Room 207 is her room." Wy mumbled before looking up at Spinel. "I'm not a good cook." She said with a sheepish smile.

Name also noticed Blitz's frown and decided to change the subject before Autumn asked something along the lines of, "why aren't there any flying dragons?". Name had asked that question his first month in the inn and it triggered a 3 rant on the evils of mankind and how they should all be slaughtered. Perhaps he just had a bitter Dragon but Name had avoided such questions since.

"Alright ready to leave? Sun only stays down so long." Name said looking out a window.

Blitz's frowny face was pushed to the back of Autumn's mind at Name's question. She child unwrapped her arms from around the dragon and turned to Name. She nodded her head excitedly, clasping her hands behind her back and rocking on her heels. "How are we going to get there?" The child asked curiously.

"Why the old fashioned way!" Name said with a smile. "By walking. Don't worry it's not terribly far from the inn, only about three blocks." Name said reassuring Autumn.

Gently grabbing Autumns hand Name asked Blitz, "How about you neighbor? Been to the night market recently?" Name asked politely leading Autumn downstairs and towards the door.

@Cuddle Pot @XxLyraxX Blitz followed on the other side of Autumn. "I haven't really been much of anywhere recently. I don't know much about the surrounding area." Blitz was uncomfortable having to rely so heavily on someone who was still a stranger, but he would just have to trust his hunch that these two creatures were benign. Autumn certainly seemed so.

"No matter! Cooking's easy enough, we just need to borrow the kitchen! I think I left some stuff there we can use, so we shouldn't have to worry!" Dropping the last pile of books he had picked up, he bounced over to Wy and grabbed her hand. "Come on! It'll be a nice break from cleaning, at least."

Wy's face went a little red. "O-Okay...." She said quietly. "Though I'll probably screw something up...." She mumbled as she got up from her chair.

Autumn didn't mind walking, it let her get to know Name and Blitz a little bit more. As Name grabbed her hand and began leading them towards the door Autumn felt excitement bubble up in her chest. She was really going to a store! She'll have to ask Name if she could call Nate later to tell him all about it. The child glanced over and smiled at Blitz, grabbing his hand as they walked.

@XxLyraxX Blitz smiled back at Autumn as she grabbed his hand, and began whistling a happy tune to himself as they all walked.

The redhead chuckled, a carefree grin still on his face. "No worries! messed up a lot as well the first several years, but I got better eventually." He stopped in his effort to pull Wy out the door as a confused expression overcame him for a second. "...At least...I think that's how it went. It's still all a bit of a mess in here." Tapping a knuckle against the side of his head, he shrugged and continued on his way, just as cheerful as before.

Wy ley out a small, almost strangled sigh. "Oh dear...." She mumbled shaking her head as she followed Spinel.

"Trust me you'll love it! Several small businesses and mom and pop shops stay open late so folks like us can buy essentials. But even more interesting most carry supernatural items. Things like books, special foods, herbs, all sorts really." Name informed Blitz. Name had spent a fair deal of time there gathering supplies to create his cures and for groceries.

It didn't take the three of them long to arrive there was no traffic in the area. On their way Name noticed a regular human across the street and he mentally noted, "Herbal plugs effective at range. Olfactory senses reduced no hunger aroused." Name smiled a little bigger, happy that his little trick was working.

On the way the streets were dark with only a few spread out streetlamps here and there. But turning the corner they saw a well lit and busy street. To say it was crowded was incorrect there were no large bunches of patrons. But there was a sense, a feeling of life and simple bustle as vampires,werewolves, and even stranger folk went about their shopping in small stores, a few stalls, trailers, and even one or two trucks.

"Well what do you think kid? Does it live up?" Name asked taking in the atmosphere next to Autumn.

Autumn stared around at her surroundings in awe, eyes wide. She felt Aiden's wonder echo through their bond as the child took in the magic around her. She could sense that most of the people going about their business were not human though she couldn't tell exactly what they were without Aiden's help. She looked up at Name and Blitz, mouth agape as she turned back to stare at what lay before. As much as she wanted to run around looking at everything she knew she needed to stay with Name; it was bad manners to simply run off without warning.

Dragging the girl down the stairs, clearly oblivious to whatever worries she seemed to be having, the redhead soon found his way to the community kitchen. Bursting right through the door in excitement, he led her over to a cooking station before releasing her hand, starting off in search of ingredients and utensils immediately. "So, anything you prefer? Baked goods would be fun. Oh, or would a potential dinner item be better? What works best for welcoming neighbors? Or pretending to have too much of something, more like? I guess something we make a lot of?"

"Hm....I'd say cookies or pie." Wy mumbled, her eyes gaining a distant look which meant she was lost in her thoughts.
