Yay, interest!
That said, :P I'm not a HPnerd, in the sense I'm not good with the details of the verse. Is this a nerd only convention or would I be able to join in happily making stuff up with references to canon/hp-wiki?
That's fine! If something in your CS goes against canon, we can work on it in PMs or something.
I'm totally in if the plot takes a dark twist later on just like the canon books, and if this is kept as small group. Not so keen with too many players because I don't like speedposting.
Understandable. The plot will either take a super dark turn (Defeating the next Voldemort, stopping an apocalyptic prophecy, another wizarding war, etc.) or just a regular "Our lives are in danger" dark turn. Think Death Eaters and professors being killed and whatnot. Maybe a giant monster or something. In either case, any turning the events do will be dark and things will be in danger. Whether or not we stay with a small group depends on whether or not people want to play as professors. That being said, if we do get a large group (I'd say 6-7 is the cap in this case), I imagine the professor characters would be involved in subplots that don't affect our main group.
