Nefertari and Clariel The Morgue & Huskers Restaurant
Nefertari sighed as she signed off on the last of the paperwork. It had been a long morning, doctoring the papers, sending the bodies to the crematorium, and making sure that the tracks of those kills were cleaned up. She washed off her hands and sighed to herself. She swore never to be leashed down by those higher up than her, but here she was. Playing janitor. Man, did she need a drink. Not like blood, but a nice glass of wine. Sure, it was only one in the afternoon, but who cared around here. This was New Orleans! Besides, she had her important work done, the other bodies could wait. "I'm headed out for lunch. If anyone really needs me, just give me a call, or text. Otherwise, leave me alone. By the way, here's the paperwork for the back-log this morning," she said, handing off the stack of files to one of the interns. "All of them have been sent off and accounted for. They are not longer our problem," she added. "Alright. However, we got notice of a few bodies the police are releasing. They'll be in tomorrow for prep. One of them specifically requested you," the intern said. Nefertari sighed. "No rest for the wicked then, huh? Alright, I'll come in early. Again." Nefertari hung up her lab coat and tucked the pair of glasses she kept for reading in the pocket of the coat. She hefted her purse over her shoulder and pulled out her cell. She shot off a text to Clariel informing the demon that she'd be over at Husker's soon. Clariel sent a reply telling Nefertari to meet them at the back staff entrance. One application of sunscreen and two buses later, Nefertari walked around to the back entrance of Huskers, and noticed that Clariel was already there, taking a long inhale off a cigarette. "I will never understand the appeal of those things," she said, leaning against the building and looking at the demon. "That is because they do jack shit for you luv." Clariel let out a long puff of smoke, and smirked at the vampiress. "Don't call me that," Nefertari said with a sigh. "Can we move this inside? I don't want to crisp up." "Ugh, so delicate. C'mon. The bathroom is clean and open. I'll lock the door behind us," Clariel said, taking Neffy's hand and leading her inside and down the hall to the bathroom. After double checking that it was indeed empty, the demon locked the door and shoved Neffy against the wall and kissed her deeply. "I knew you'd be back. You can't resist Az... you need both of us," the demon said, licking Neffy's neck. She let out a moan and shoved Clariel away. "Shut up Clar and just heal me please. I am so not in the mood for you to attempt some bizarre three-way," Nefertari said, slipping off her shoes and going to open her shirt. "Ugh. Boner killer. Fine. You win, as always. Where am I healing?" Nefertari pointed to the spots that were burned and the demon simply put her hand over them, and they healed up. The process took about ten minutes in whole. It did take a while longer to heal than to burn. "There. All done. Without the fun. I gotta get back to work. However, I'm not going to keep doing this for free," Clariel's eyes narrowed at Nefertari and she growled, flashing her fangs. "Need I remind you that my neck is still on the goddamn line for you? If you fuck up I'm toast as well as you. I am the only thing keeping you alive, and don't you dare forget it, Chaos Demon." Nefertari snarled, buttoning back up her shirt. Clariel backed down. "Right right. Sorry. Just... I miss you." "That is a fucking lie." Clariel sighed and smirked. "Caught me. Anyways, fine. I'll see you later then." Clariel unlocked the bathroom door and headed back to the kitchen, humming to themself. Nefertari leaned against the wall, letting out a long sigh. "I should have let them kill her. I should have. Would have saved me the goddamn headache that bitch gives me," Nefertari thought to herself as she walked out of the bathroom. She headed to the bar and plopped down and looked at the bartender. "One glass of your finest red wine please. I don't care how much it costs, just, please, give me," she said. The bartender nodded and went off to get the wine. Nefertari looked around the bar, when all of a sudden her eyes landed on a lovely looking lady. Then she sniffed the air. "Werewolf. She grinned and picked up the glass of wine, and left a $20 on the bar and walked over to the table and leaned down next to the werewolf lady. "Hi. Saw you were sitting alone and thought that wasn't right. May I join you?" She asked, smiling pleasantly. [@Nallore]
