Let's see, making a cheerful entrance? Check. Roommates freaking out? Check, but he was actually not expecting that one. Everyone laughing about it afterwards? Uncheck. Anything going the way he thought they would after making his entrance...Unchecked, crossed out, unfriended, disliked, unsubscribed, and whatever else that can emphasize how that part didn't happen with a vengeance. Hikaru was expecting them to be a little surprised, but when he felt the air shift from something small and sharp flying towards him, he could tell that his entrance had the intended effect times five. He barely managed to get out of the object's way, saving strands of his hair, and making him question if the one who threw it was either a bad aim, or just giving him a warning. The hard thud of the object embedding itself into the wall behind him didn't help him with that thought. First thoughts on his roommates: they're the darker ones that won't hesitate to beat the crap out of him if he pisses them off. Second thoughts: They view him as an insect, and wanted to remind him of his place. Mind you, both of these thoughts were BEFORE he even tuened his full attention as to who they were, but the fact that something sharp whizzed past his head before he was even done saying hello, kind of makes a poor first impression. An awkward moment of silence passed, before Hikaru realized that one of his roommates was actually surprised...well, as surprised as one can look, glaring at the ceiling. That hard expression on her face did soften, but the feeling of being looked down upon by an angry goddess did not. Maybe it was just Hikaru's view of her, but for some reason, he was just REALLY afraid of her. "This is a bit awkward, rooming with someone of the opposite gender and someone I haven't even met up until now. But, I'd rather try to make the best of it, so we all might as well introduce ourselves. I'm Hamano Kaori, formerly of a temple, if the clothes didn't give me away. I can't say I'm looking forward to sharing a room, but I can say that I'm willing to work with it and try to get used to the idea and get to know you both better." Aaaand of course. She's one of the more intelligent and serious students here. Hikaru should've seen that coming. Figures he'd get paired up with some of the better students. He guessed fate really wanted to rub it in that there were others with much better reasons to be there. Before Hikaru got a chance to think about the fact that people of the opposite gender not normally sharing a room, his other roommate spoke. Yes, the girl who immediately threw a knife at him spoke up in a respectful way...to Kaori. "Nice to meet you Kaori-chan. I hope you don't mind the informalities, but that would make us get used to each other a little quicker. Victorica Winterfield, both your roommate and classmate. I don't think I'll be much of a bother to you during our time together, as for this guy. I don't think he'll be much of a bother either." That didn't sound good. It didn't help when she turned and smiled at him in a way that made him feel like she'd do horrible things to him if he angered her. "I hope we get along with each other." "I...you...Wait a sec! Hikaru was speechless at first, fearing that the next few words would spell the end for him. In an effort to hide that fear, he focused on the knife, getting a little irritated. He wasn't going to let what happened before just go unnoticed. She threw a knife at him! Who does that!? Why? Did he really seem THAT dangerous?! ...Despite trying to speak out about it in an angry fashion, he just couldn't do it. He didn't want to tick off his roommates within the first few minutes of actually meeting them. So, he just gave up on the idea. "Nevermind..." Hikaru took another moment to cough, and adjust himself for another attempt at an introduction. "Anyway...Yoshino Hikaru, at your service! Please don't kill me in my sleep!" By the time Hikaru realized what he said, it was too late. One of his inner thoughts were made known to the girls.
