[sub]All translations in putting Vrak'nir into English letters are rough estimates due to the Vrak'nir having no real written language.[/sub] *This is still W.I.P
Homeworld: Vrak Species Name: Vrak'Nir - "Children of Vrak" Species: The Vrak'Nir by the Galactic Alliance have been classed as one species, with three sub-species.

The so called "Queen" is the only member of the species that differs in appearance. Queens are rarely hatched, and when they do it often signals the half way point of the previous Queens life span (Naturally). When hatched it immediately becomes a struggle with there creche mates to become the few get to survive. These battles for life are never seen by outsiders and have never been observed so it can only be guessed at what takes place. Once a week has passed the victors will immediately become servants to the current queen. However until the previous Queen dies the youngers are only permitted to create offspring with the subspecies outsiders have come to known as "Drones". Only the fittest drones are selected for this task and qutie often the younger Queens will do naught but spend her time among males producing off spring. Unlike other insectoid species eggs are inseminated inside the body before being laid, this is a reflex from when the species was younger to ensure that eggs would be fertilized. Surprisingly sturdy the Queen is capable of doing this for ten days before resting, producing roughly one thousand eggs in a week. This high "turnover" is why when the former Queen stops producing eggs, or the egg count drops significantly the most fertile Queen will take over the Hive. Each of the twelve planets within the system have numerous hive, with a full count impossible. They also have a rather interesting trait. They can access a form of neural network within their own hive too alter the behavior of the hive or relay commands similar to how ants use pheromones. This network on Queens is very strong, however does have a limited range. This is why most Fleets are a single hive with a Queen at their centre.

The Alpha is similar to the regular drone with one major exception. Quality. Coming from higher quality drones (in the past) they are stronger, faster and smarter. A cut above the regular drone. They are typically used to manage drones, as ship masters or managers of mines they fill the role between drone and queen. A role that is attained through birth however it has been known in some hives for a drone to attain the position of an Alpha through extraordinary circumstances. Though there are few recorded cases of this due to the fact that thanks to selective breeding Alphas possess a minor influence over the neural network in their hive allowing them to effectively control whatever drones are under their command within a one hundred metre radius. The best Alphas are typically chosen to breed with the Queen in order to create the next generation.

[sub]For image see above[/sub] Drones are the lowest class. They fill every role imaginable. Their minds seem blanker, once set on a task they will do it until they are told to stop or it is impossible to continue (Which makes them good workers, and even better warriors). Working solely to benefit the hive they have no access to the neural network that the other two tiers seem to possess. While it is hard, but not unheard of, for a drone to become an Alpha it is more likely that any Drone that shows any level off initiative could be given command over a small group of Drones under an Alpha (similar to a sub-commander). They only chose to benefit the hive, and that is their sole purpose until they did. Defectors are unheard of, people wanting their independence is unheard of and the sole reason is that they do not understand the concept of individuals working for themselves. Even the Queens work for the species.
The species itself is insectoid, multiple eyed able to see into the ultraviolet spectrum and hardy. The Queens able to go the longest time without rest the rest of the species also have high reserves of energy. Though this isn't to do with climate as most of the worlds they inhabit are quite tropical similar to Earth. However it is for increased productivity and due to the fact that each member of the species is slightly stronger than the average human able to lift twice the weight and travel at twice the speed. Omnivores their diet depends on the wildlife and plant life around them. The species have a high degree of respect for life and peace, ensuring the balance they will only eat whatever animal or plant is in abundance and when it's numbers start to decline move to another food source until it replenishes. This leaves little in terms of variety of food among the species however they do not particularly care. Their skin, while appearing scaley isn't much stronger than that of a humans and is only arrayed in the way it is so that their body can either expand or release heat on demand depending on the climate. Culture: Their culture is based around their hives. Hives are set up in different areas, and each hive has a job to do for the greater good of the species. They all accept this role, and while in the past there has been feuds between hives such events are uncommon. There is no real "Leader" of the Vrak'nir people, so it isn't really understood how they work in unison together but it seems to happen. Those who work in mines give their produce to those who construct dwellings and ships, those who produce food transport it to everyone else. Fleets patrol space or go where needed, transport supplies. Everything works because they are all born into their roles and know what to do. Ship Crew: -Command Crew of 20. -Ship's brain. -Ten officers assigned to oversee strike craft. -200x Strike Craft Pilots -Numerous Engineers/Support Crew -250x Ground Ready Troops. Ship Weapons: -Main: 7x tractor beams. Four of these are on the ends of the arms and can be very powerful to push, pull or simply grab a target in space. These alone aren't really classed as weapons but used in conjunction with strike craft, supporting ships or other weapons it can be a deadly combination. The final three reside on the tail however are largely used as propulsion. -Missiles: 8x Launchers for small creatures that can survive in space for upto five minutes, fire and forget. They'll latch onto a craft and with a combination of teeth and acid will tear through a ship until they die. This weapon is highly unpredictable and if latched onto a friendly target can't be stopped until killed. -Plasma Launchers: 80x Launchers, capable of releasing a broadside attack on anything that gets past the main weapon. -Point Defense Systems: 240x Smaller laser systems designed to target small fast moving craft that get within range. Ship technologies: -Organic Hull: While it's hull is no stronger than that of any other races it is capable (Given time and resources) to repair itself. -Shielding: Shielding off most Vra'nknir ships takes the form of a gel substance that is excreted from pores along the hull. Given a period of time it hardens into a substance very difficult to break, however while unlike other shielding technologies it does not require a constant power source if broken it does take the ship time to produce more gel making prolonged combat difficult. -Organic Design: The ship is organic, all the technologies are also organic. This gives the ship the ability to be easily controlled by one person, and PDS systems controlled by the Ships brain will be efficient however it has certain drawbacks. A ship can age and grow old (even Senile), too much demand for energy could destroy the ships heart and any damage takes time to repair and the new tissue is initially weaker than the old. -Tractor Beam: While used as offensive weapons the Tractor beams are also the ships main form of propulsion, with no real range they grab onto stellar objects (Near or distant) and then push or pull themselves away. However while they can grab onto a star in a nearby solar system they cannot grab something as small as a ship from the same system. Notable missions: Other:
