The story I submitted for the last labour would work for this one too I think. It doens't matter it does of course, I just thought it was funny when I realized that.

May dip my fingers in this one. Or whatever. Can't think of an appropriate colloquial metaphor. I've been unbelievably busy lately, but hopefully I'll get something for this one, unlike for the RPGC.

Also, I believe this GIF may fit inside the challenge parameters.

Got my cast nailed down—and as is my tendancy, reusing a setting I developed years ago—so I'd better start writing!

I think the biggest challenge for me this time will really be time. In the unluckiest of circumstances, this happens to be the two-week summer-fall transition where I simultaneously have to juggle two part-time jobs and university classes.

But I'll be damned if I ever become a quitter, so.

I'm feeling that right now too. I can't even think of an idea because the requirements are so... ugh. But I suppose that's the spirit of the challenge. They're not called the Twelve... Cakewalks. Or, you know... whatever.

I have an idea that I believe completely achieves the goal of this labour. My problem is that it is, uh, extremely boring. It wouldn't be particularly entertaining to read, no matter how well I execute it. So now I'm going to partly consider if I can come up with a different idea as well as consider my morals behind writing stories. Like, writing a story I don't enjoy in order to complete a task, would I do that?

@Terminal Maybe. I mean, it doesn't feel like a thoroughly appalling idea. I guess I'd just need to apologize to everyone who had to read it after, but I could do it. It's not something I'd enjoy doing, but if life was filled only with tasks I enjoyed doing, then my life would have been a really different place. My desire to complete the labour is strong, likely the stronger force in this case, so.

Yeah, but the idea I had fits with the challenge. However, the problem being that the idea is based off a crossover fic I have thought out from beginning to end, and this scene takes place near the end. I'm not sure if it'd count given the "no fanfic" rule. Just to give you an idea of the circumstance, it's akin to The Death of Nicholas Santos.

With my story I'll be walking the thin line between winning the labour or failing it, I think. I'll let it rest for the night and read it over tomorrow. If I feel it might not make the challenge the ending will have to be done differently.

@PlatinumSkink the goal is to clear the labour, I'd say if it takes a boring story to do so, go for it.

I've finally awarded the trophies to the winners of TTL #3: roleplayerguild.com/trophy-groups/5.

I know those trophy pages are pretty ugly. They were supposed to be just temporarily ugly.

The winners of the Antlers of the Ceryneian Hind trophy can activate it for its special effect, a custom user-title.

I had just completed what would have been a twelve-day project in the span of six hours, proving to myself that it wasn't writer's block that threw me off, just an idea I had no idea how to kickstart.
