Beside Molly one of the other female mages in the class, her name being Laken, snorted in derision as Adrian spoke up to Billie, rolling her eyes before looking across Molly at the demon. “What a kiss ass.” She muttered loudly some of the mages around her laughing softly. Even Molly smiled a bit, holding off a laugh as she looked out of the corner of her eye at the girl. Though even the mages eyes went to Billie as she began explaining Old Demonic, and what its uses were now days. The professor complimenting Billie on being right as he finally made it to class. Unlike the little demon girl, Florence, who likely reeked of jealousy from the way she talked. Molly had no doubt in her mind that Billie knew what she was talking about, two years ago Molly had taken this same class, and Billie was her tutor. Though of course that was when she was still normal, before she found what she could do blood magic so easily. As well as before she accidently met Azrael and went a bit a little more crazy than she expected to. However, it never hurt to take a refresher class, especially since she used some of it to get in touch with Azrael. Though it was only when something went wrong and she wasn’t about to get away from the school or others to contact him. The fact that Billie was TAing the class this year, well that was an interesting coincidence, that she really wasn’t sure if she liked or not yet. After all her job wasn’t to get a hold of Billie, it was to clean up the messes of Azael’s people under her, and if need be figure out a way to make Billie weaker. When Billie asked if anyone could read the symbols on the board, Molly looked up from her book. While everyone went to looking down at their books, she looked at the board frowning a bit trying to remember, for her it actually was a lot easier to say it the speak than it had ever been translating it. After a moment her hand raised high in the air a smile on her lips before she answered. “Pride, Loyalty, and one of the symbols for Warrior.” -- “Really? Yeah, I wouldn’t have guessed she was your half-sister either. Usually half-siblings don’t like so much alike.” Jordyn said after listening to him talk, though she wasn’t really sure what to say when he brought up his father. She reached over and touched his hand, as if it had any chance of making him feel better. "I’m sure that everything will be fine though, I mean doesn’t the Arch Mage have magic keeping the school safe?" Jordyn actually kind of liked Ms. Chambliss, having met her last year. After proving that she deserved to be in a higher class than Botany and Alchemy I, she meant the only two teachers. Before meaning the professor halfway through the year and getting put in this class. Not that Jordyn minded taking it again this year to catch all the way up. Jordyn looked down picking up their book, opening it, and turning to page 22. She read over the page quickly, moving her mortar and pestle closer, before looking at Alex and nodding. "The one on the right is Nightshade, left is Potato Flower." She answered in a hushed tone of her own. Then the people in front of them started talking and got Alex's attention, and Jordyn shrugged going back to work as she listened. Though she soon looked at Alex a little bit confused. "Who's Devin?" She whispered wanting to know who Logan almost knocked out, from the smirk on Alex's face it was amusing. But she had no idea who Devin even was, seeing that he followed Logan around most of the smaller groups that didn't deal with the vamps much didn't know him. Jordyn watched Alex put the pen to the paper and she couldn't help but grin a little bit. Last year she was put with a earth elemental and didn't get to do a lot because he didn't want her screwing him up. But she had a feeling she would enjoy having Alex as a partner. Plus plants were her thing after all, so she knew what she was talking about. "Well other than the fact that this breed of nightshade has a light blue tint to the edge of the white petals" She said in a hushed voice not realizing or knowing that Alex was colorblind. "One of the ways is that it actually has a smell, but you have to be careful smelling it." She reached across him and pulled the pot closer to her, before pulling the other pot closer as well. "One of the easiest ways to tell if it’s a Potato Flower is that it always has a layer of dust on the petals, that is impossible to get off, from the dirt they plant the potatoes in." She said as the head of the flower leaned over a little towards Alex so he could see what she was talking about. Jordyn reached for the Nightshade her fingertips going through the stalk, almost like how Clary phased through things. She slowly started closing her other hand keeping the other one open and flat, focusing on the plant itself. The flower petals slowly spread so that Alex could see the pistil of the flower better. "And all Nightshade has small poisonous berries in the middle instead of a stigma." Jordyn finished the flower pedals returning to normal before she pulled her hand away from the stalk. She wiped her fingers off on her shirt that made her look like a barbie in her mind and flipped to page 34 looking it over with a slight smile on her lips. It was nice to not only have a reason but also get the actual chance to show off some of her powers, it wasn’t something that she got to do very much. "Which one do you want to make? I've made the healing one before, but I don't have to worry about the nightshade making me sick as easily." She asked looking up at him leaving the choice of which he wanted. "I'm only giving ten more minutes before I go around testing your potions out on one of each of you. As we need to go over your coursework." Chambliss said looking up from her planner. "Remember anyone that hasn't made the recipes correctly will have to study and remake it for me, correctly, tonight after classes are over as pre usual." She said before looking past Jo and Alex. At a couple of girls that had been eavesdropping on their conversation, and watching Jordyn explain. "As well as cheaters Ms Geller and Ms Black. Eyes on your own table ladies or I'll move you up front. Where we can stall going over the coursework until tomorrow, and you can show everyone how to make the potions making everyone late." She added before standing and starting to write a list of rare plants on the board. "I'd rather see that than go to my next class." Jordyn whispered to Alex as she added the rest of the ingredients her potion need to the mortar.
