NPCs Disclaimer: NPCs may violate the general guidelines for characters however they will have a more limited impact plot or they may be Plot related in some way but due to their power level they will not be used as characters in order to preserver a sense of balance and fairness
Name: Christian Highfell, The Avatar of Storms Alias/Nickname:The Shard, Lord Shard, Master Highfell, Stormlord Appearance: For all his eccentric lineage, most of the time christian appears to just be a very handsome human male. (Image may change upon commision completion) Age:2536 Race: Bronze Dragon/Storm Elemental Personality: Christian is a highly eccentric individual, he often comes off as being distracted or aloof. This is largely due to his age, however when he is intrigued by a problem, person or some other noteworthy thing he because animated warm and interested. Christian is highly patient and deliberate in everything he does and it may even appear plodding to those who are not long of years but Christian’s conviction when he sets his mind on something is akin to a glacier grinding stone to fine dust. While slow to anger Christian’s anger, like everything else about him, is titanic and wondrous to behold. Christian loves, hates, laughs, and grieves like a force of nature, however those who know him on a personal level find him to be oddly human in temperament and often relatable. Biography/history: Christian’s biography starts a century before the stygian empire invaded Galendar 2400 years ago. Suffice to say it is too lengthy to be included here. What is important is that Christian has been the guild master for the Knights of Star since he founded it he has spent his entire life living in accordance with what he thinks is right. Much of his time as the leader of the Knights of Star has been spent running missions across Galendar for the highest bidder. In his time Christian has taken on thousands of missions including everything from heists, robberies and other thefts all the way through espionage, government overthrows, acts of terrorism and full on assassinations. Christians has also taken thousands of search and rescue missions, missions defending the innocent, mercy and aid missions as well as orchestrating peace between warring nations. Anytime not spent running missions for The Tower of Stars Christian spent exploring and mapping Galendar as well as hunting down items of power to add to his Vault beneath the Tower of Stars. Christian became the Avatar of Storms 500 years ago when he killed his step brother and took the mantle much to his Father’s irritation. Christian’s Father is the Elemental Lord of Storms Christian’s mother is unknown even to this day. His father refuses to speak of her. Christian has one younger step sister. Violet’s location is currently unknown. Reason for recruitment: Guildmaster Strength of Will: Supreme Will Magic: Alchemy: Christian is capable of almost limitless shape shifting. He is not restricted by a need to conserve matter Divination: Christian is capable of powerful scrying spells which he uses to keep tabs on friends, enemies and ongoing missions for the tower of stars. (It is rumored Christian keeps an open scrying mirror in his room whose sole focus is Raven). Christian is also capable of viewing his own memories and the memories of anyone whom he kills, lends him or he steals their memory in perfect detail and he may project and explore them at will. Necromancy: Christian is capable of fully resurrecting the dead given the death occurred within one month and he has a sufficient offering of magic to make to Yishreenok Abjuration: Christian is a potent healer however much of his healing feels like the subject is being shocked. Christian is also capable of potent wards. The most potent of which is known as The Aegis. The Aegis is constant flow of magic channeled directly from the elemental plane of storms that can shrug off almost all of the most titanic blows an enemy can bring to bear. Conjuration: Christian can conjure any item from within the walls of the Tower of Stars to his exact location. This can only be blocked by an antimagic field or other incredibly powerful magics. Force Magic: Christian is single handedly capable of the most powerful lightning, wind, rain and storm magic in all of Galendar. He is only rivaled by the Avatars of Water and Air who are incredibly powerful at force magic related to their own elements. Force of Will- Because of how powerful Christian’s will is, he can manifest it as a telekinetic force capable of manipulating his environment including: lifting, throwing, moving, destroying or constructing things around him. God relations: Christian does not worship any of Galendar’s Gods but he does consort with Yishreenok on occasion in order to bring dead comrades back to life. Christian has a strained relationship with his Father the Elemental Lord of Storms Tech: Christian has integrated his artifacts into more convenient tech including his vambrace and its integration of the ace of storms for easier access. The heart of storms has been rebuilt as a tech based blade that uses lightning charged molecule thin crystal as its blade. The entirety of the blade is collapsable via molecular level magic. Possessions/items/property: The Ace of Storms- often seen as Christian’s go to ranged weapon the Ace of storms is also a very powerful source of magic. The Deck of Storms- A physical manifestation of Christian’s status as the Avatar of Storms. The Heart of Storms- Christian's go to melee weapon, a hand and a half sword of lightning infused crystal which collapses neatly into a flat rectangle of metal which Christian carries on his left hip Skills: Archer- Christian is a phenomenal archer largely due to senses far beyond that of a normal being, this also translates to his capacity with firearms however Christian finds little use for firearms and bows in this day in age relying largely on his magic Swordsman- Christian’s swordsmanship is equal to his archery due to constant practice over the last two thousand years while he was founding the Tower of Stars. Tactician- Christian’s experience as a mercenary commander, soldier and guildmaster have given him a depthful grasp of standard and non standard military, paramilitary, terrorist and espionage tactics. Semi-Divine- Christian has a natural knack for anything he puts his mind to because of the sheer magnitude of his will the world molds itself to help him with whatever he is doing. While not an innate skill Christian is innately skilled.

Name: Catherine Marrowblade Alias/Nickname:Raven, Lady Marrowblade Appearance: Blonde Hair, wears a cowgirl hat, red eyes. 5 foot 8. Age: over two thousand years old. Appears to be around her late twenties. Race: God-blooded Human Personality: (Will show most IC) Raven is known for her cleverness across the land. Whenever she makes a promise or a deed to someone she holds onto it and makes sure she sees it through, whatever the cost. Dignified as she is she was known to get into lots of trouble when she was younger. Her sparkle in her eye has slightly faded, but not disappeared, for the woman still can be amused from everyday life. Still beautiful but now wise, she has been swarmed by crowds of people for her to pass out her knowledge and advice of the blades and fist. Biography/history: Raven’s name shall be shouted off sailor’s tongues for centuries to come. Her tales as of old display her as a dignified pirate, running the seas as if she owned them with her hearty crew. She was known to help stop the evil of Galendar during the stygian war, and when death stared her in the face she spat at it. When Raven was but the age of eight her father Lord Marrowblade did something to cause the poor girl to run away from his mansion, escaping to the peasant life by hiding in barrels until they were picked up. Fortunately for her, however, she accidentally boarded what was the fearless pirate ship BlackWing. Raven was quickly discovered and became one of the pirates at the age of nine. Raven’s life as a pirate quickly led her to become fearless, courageous, and outrageously sexy. Raven joined the Stygian empire to fight in the war and that was where she met Christian, persuading him to join her and her allies cause. After the stygian war Raven decided to continue her life as a pirate, roaming the seas with Blackwing, a beautiful ship to now call her own. Her marriage to christian is subtle, yet not unheard of. Their relationship is different, for the moonless night and the heart of storms together as one could surely bring the world to its knees if need be. The world knows her as the queen of the calm waters of night, but she will soon be well be known for the queen of the sky. Reason for recruitment: Raven is going to the tower to not only reunite with Christian, but to help with transporting recruits to their designated missions. After not seeing Christian for over a thousand years, Raven finally decided to return to the tower of stars. It is unknown why Raven and Christian went their own ways centuries ago, but rumour has it that it was because she wanted to continue sailing the seas, whereas Christian himself had to guard the high tower where he now resides. Strength of Will: Superior Magic: Though most of her magic has been unrecorded, there are several things she has shared with the world. Mirror: Raven can clone herself using wild magic, summoning her own will. The clones have a lot less durability than she, and they break into thousands of shards after taking damage. Glide: Like a cat, Raven will never get hurt from falling. Raven can cause her body to become next to weightless; with this she can glide until she lands safely. Raven can also run up walls and remain stationary for as long as she pleases. She can also run across surfaces that would normally trip or caution a person or vehicle with absolute ease. Precision: No matter what armor a foe has, or what form of protection he or she bestows, Raven can tear through it so long as she uses one of her bladed weapon. Vanish: Raven can completely vanish from sight in the blink of an eye, but nobody knows how. Raven also has a divine form bestowed by her grandmother, but nobody has lived to see it and behold what secrets of untold power it claims. God relations: She is the granddaughter of the Goddess the moonless night. Her relationship with the Goddess is that of family, and what runs in the family is something dark, silent, and deadly. Tech: Raven has an arm that can morph into very heavy metals as need be for better hand-to-hand combat. This tech has been melted onto her arm, and as a result any weapons that have a sort of recoil, (say, fire weapons or heavy caliber guns) will not harm this arm.

She has two pistols that turn into her signature rapiers: Moonbane and Nightsing. Light and Shadow blades. She usually uses these things mostly in combat. Raven was never one to indulge in futuristic technology Galendar has to own, since her own skills seem to do the trick. She can, however, use most tech if need be. Possessions/items/property: Raven owns Blackwing (Think of a more upscale version of this)

A knife in her cap that returns to her

her pistols

and a variety of other weaponry and utilities. Including one weapon she hopes to never use so long as she is breathing. Raven, also referred to Lady Marrowblade, owns land in a portion of Galendar. Her father, Lord Marrowblade, was royalty. After he passed away she inherited all that he owned, so she occasionally has to revisit old faces to make sure the land is fairing well.

Skills: Martial Arts: Raven has had all the time, the patents, and determination, and after two thousand years she finally has mastered all common martial arts and forms of combat, whether hand to hand or with weapons. Assassin: Raven not only has used her time to train physically, but she has lived and breathed in an environment where the shadows embrace the cold world of night. For several centuries Raven has taught herself the way of the shadow, and thrives in a peaceful, moonless darkness. Leading the Sail: Raven is a master sailor, she picked it up when she was little and now she knows everything to know about being behind the wheel of a massive pirate ship. Foresight: Raven had her eye split open on one of her ancient adventures, leaving her no choice but to summon her grandmother. With her help, they gave Raven the moonless eye, and just as there is white in a normal human eye there was black in this divine replacement. Though Raven covers it with her loose bangs she can still see. She can see everything in the dark, the shadows, and anything that lurks about, no matter if it is invisible to the average eye or not.

Name: Ralrisk Zaltharim, The Mistress of Shadow Alias/Nickname: Phantom Appearance:Ralrisk often wears a cloak of Shadows over her nanoskin.

Age: unknown Race: Shadow Elemental/Elf Personality: Ralrisk is a rather introverted individual and often does her best to remove herself from social interactions as best she can, which may be part of why no one actually knows where her room is in the tower of stars. The few who have had the opportunity to converse with her find her to be insightful and witty, but more often than not a rather grim individual. Biography/history: Ralrisk is the second child of one of the Elemental Lords of Shadow. Due to her birth order she is not the one of the three Avatars of Shadow. After she turned fifty, her family's laws dictated that she was of age to defend herself so her older sister immediately tried to kill her. In her panic Ralrisk fled the fight using her ability to shadow walk to escape. Her sister Lithana chased Ralrsik all the way to Angel’s Landing where Lithana finally caught up with Ralrisk. The ensuing battle was silent, devastating and brutally short. While Ralrisk was an incredibly powerful Shadow Elementalist her sister was an Avatar of Shadow. Ralrisk was defeated easily. As Lithana prepared to execute her younger sister she failed to notice the brewing storm. As a slow heavy rain began to fall in mid stroke of her sword Lithana was struck by a bolt of lightning and hurled from her sister by the force. When Lithana stood to face her attacker a Dragon with bronze scales was crouched over the broken form of her sister Ralrisk. When Lithana attempted to attack the Dragon it shrugged off her attack like it was nothing smashing her shadows to pieces with its claws. Its roar shattered the glass on all of the buildings in surrounding the park where Lithana and Ralrisk had fought. As she realed in shock from the thunder clap that was the dragon’s roar was then that Lithana realized who the dragon was. As Lithana tried to flee Christian unleashed the Ace of Storms and seared away part of her face leaving the once beautiful Avatar of Shadows scarred as she fled from the battle. When Ralrisk awoke it was on a bed in the Tower of Stars infirmary with Megelis standing guard over her in full armor and the tower on high alert. When Ralrisk was fully conscious Megelis told her that Shard had informed the Elemental Lords of Shadow Tribunal that any further attempt on Ralrisk’s life would be met with lethal force and a declaration of war from the Tower of Stars until such a time that Ralrisk declared herself capable of meeting Lithana in single combat. Should Lithana choose to accept such a challenge. While Ralrisk was grateful for the protection she feared retaliation from the Shadow Tribunal. Three months later her fears came to pass when The Shadow Council sought the Judgement of Exandar on the matter. The God ruled in favor of the Shadow Council’s laws and sent it’s Avatar to punish Christian for interfering. In the ensuing battle Christian wounded Exandra’s Avatar with the Ace of Storms and when Exandra itself appeared to deliver Judgment itself, it was stopped by a being wielding the Reaper’s Scythe who proceeded to kill Exandar’s Avatar without any opposition before wounding the God itself and sending Exandar back to the divine realms after forcing it to overturn its own verdict. After the battle with Exandra none of the Shadow Lords dared to interfere with the terms Shard set. Reason for recruitment: Shard saved her life and as a result Ralrisk as served the Tower tirelessly Strength of Will: Greater Magic: Channeled Shadow magic- Ralrisk has magic related to controlling and using shadows that stems from her elemental state and her connection to her father the Elemental lord of Shadows who due to her blood bond can't retract its flow of magic to Ralrisk Wild Shadowfiend- Ralrisk has slowly developed other abilities beyond what a normal Elementalist would be able to do. Namely Ralrisk has developed the ability to transform into an amorphous monster known as a shadow fiend. Something that only Avatars up until now have been capable of doing Shadow stride- If there is shadow there Ralrisk can walk in it. This allows her to walk up walls, hang from the ceiling, and slide across the floor at incredible speeds. Third Eye- By focusing Ralrisk can see magic and magic users. This also allows her to see if an individual is drawing in magic energy or preparing to channel magic energy. The ability requires an insane amount of focus and is uneffective past the opening move in combat since she does not have the focus to maintain it in a fight. God relations: One of the The Elemental Lords of Shadow is her father and as a result she may draw on his magic for her power. Tech: Phaseblade- A blade that exists partially in the elemental plane of Shadows and partially in Galendar. This fusion of tech and magic allows the blade to shear through most normal material without any sort of resistance. Enchanted equipment is resistant to a phaseblade but even then a Phaseblade is very volatile weapon and it is only capable of phasing for short periods of time and requires a battery that must be changed after every use of the phase function. The blade on its own is a monomolecular edged vibroblade without the phasing technology. This particular phaseblade is one of a kind and a prototype that Ralrisk stole from a tech company that produces other elemental Phaseblades for the highest bidder to prevent its replication Cloaking nanosuit- Ralrisk wears a skin tight nanosuit under her shadow cloak. The second skin of cutting edge nanofiber is resistant to impact, blades and energy attacks. It also functions as a cloaking device. While Rarisk can use shadow magic to conceal herself the suit allows her to become completely invisible to most magical and technological sight as well as the naked eye. Omni-rifle- Ralrisk carries a folding rifle which is capable of functioning as a rifle that fires three round burst, single shot and full auto fire. It is also capable of functioning as a high powered sniper rifle. Shadoweyes- Ralrisk wears a set of goggles in the field that feeds her an inordinate amount of information about targets, buildings, bystanders including full biometric readouts, and structural read outs. They also function as full night/heat and ambient magic detection goggles. Possessions/items/property: A variety of dresses she has collected over the years but never wears. A replication of her room in the Shadow plane A collection of antique weapons and assassin equipment Hundreds of small pewter replicas of knights, soldiers, wizards and other features of fantasy. Skill: Master Assassin Shadow Elementalist Highly proficient at disguises Master Tailor and seamstress Excellent shot Excellent swordsmanship Master in Sal’shruk (the martial art that is taught to Shadow Elementalists, its closest approximation is Aikido mixed with Muay Thai)
Characters
Name: Zachary Thetis Alias/Nickname: The Croweater (Crow for short) Appearance: Age: 332 Race: Elder Sidhe/Shaitan Personality: Zachary is a highly morbid individual with a sadistic streak as well as strange set of morals. For the most part Zachary is a rather social individual but the problem is that many when they find out that Zachary is the child of the Fae and one of the more questionable Djinn lineages it is often off putting. Zachary does a good job of keeping this hidden but it can be seen in his sick humor and morbid tastes. Without knowing Zachary you can make many assumptions about what he should be like but he does have a strange set of virtues which make him a more or less agreeable individual in passing. Biography/history: The Croweater was born to a Sidhe witch by the name of Gullvieg who served the Fae Lord known as The Erlking. Gullvieg took the Shairan Djinn by the name of Iblis as her mate. Their kind was born in shadow but with the beauty of the Fae he had been born to. When his father Iblis saw this he cursed the child Zachary to forever be fascinated with death. When his mother heard Iblis do this she went immediately to take the child to the Erlking’s court but when she uncovered the cradle the child was gone and in its place a Fetch had been left. At first Gullvieg was perplexed as Fetches were left by Fae when they wished to cover their tracks in taking another races child. When she looked up from the cradle she saw a figure crouched on the hilltop outside of the house that Gullvieg had used to conceive the child with Iblis. The being had the head of a Vulture and it reached forth its beak and swallowed a murder of crows in a single gulp. At first Gullvieg feared that The Devourer had sent its avatar to steal her child but then the Vulture vomited forth a murder of crows made solely of their bones with their souls tacked to the inside of their rib cages. It was at that moment that the Vulture creature disappear with her child Zachary that Gullvieg realized that Yishreenok the Keeper of the Dead had stolen her child. Zachary grew up learning from Vulture. Vulture is a face of Yishreenok but Zachary never called it anything other than Vulture. Vulture taught Zachary how to use magic and how to fight, It taught Zachary to summon and bind the dead and how to deny the dead access to the other side of the veil. When Zachary turned 100 Vulture set Zachary a test. If he could consume the hearts of a hundred crows then Zachary would be free to go and use his powers as he wished. If he failed then Zachary would agree to forever work as Vultures servant collecting the restless souls of the dead who had not crossed over. A year and a day later Vulture came looking for Zachary whom he found feasting on the heart of a man. When Vulture asked Zachary if he had consumed the hearts of a hundred crows Zachary told him that he had just finished. Vulture inspected the body and informed Zachary that the man was infact a man and not a crow. Zachary smiled and shook his finger at Vulture before producing a skull. He told Vulture that he had trapped the souls of one hundred crows in the skull. When Vulture took the skull and released the souls he realized that Zachary had wiped out the descendents of a line of Stygian warriors known as Gorecrows. Fearsome warriors capable of withstanding incredible amounts of damage, possessing of superhuman strength and the power to transform into a murder of crows at will. Vulture returned the skull to Zachary and dubbed him “The Croweater” before he vanished leaving Zachary to find his way in the world at the tender age of 101 years old. Reason for recruitment: Zachary can talk to the dead, even dead that have passed into Yishreenok’s realm. A skill like this is rare even for necromancers of Yishreenok who are often granted incredible power by the God of the Dead. Zachary also has trouble fitting in with more normal guilds and groups as his fascination with death is often disturbing to others Strength of Will: Greater Magic: Channeled- Necromancy- Zachary is a Necromancer of Yishreenok and serves the aspect of the Death god known as Vulture. Zachary’s magics focus in two areas. The first is Decay magic which is often a sinister ugly magic which allows him to destroy organic matter in very painful manners. It is also good for inorganic material but it is often much slower. The second area is Spirit magic, Yishreenok has given Zachary over the souls of the restless dead and allows him to call and direct them at his whim. This magic also allows him to bind new souls to his skull.
The Crow Skull- Zachary’s Gorecrow skull gives him the ability to store dead souls and convert them to magic in order to fuel his spells. It also gives him enhanced strength and the ability to transform into a murder of crows however the crows are half decayed and reak of death. Of late The crows have begun to sport cybernetic implants and disconcerting red eyes.
Wild Magic- Wyrdwarp- Zachary’s Fae lineage allows him to manipulate perceptions to a certain degree. Zachary can change the way others perceive him for a limited amount of time, this appearance can be project for as many individuals as Zachary wants or he can project it for just select individuals. It is not actually an illusion or an actual change of how Zachary looks, it is purely a change of how people perceive Zachary. Faefire- Zachary can summon Faefire, which is a sinister type of force and illusion magic. The fire doesn’t actually burn like normal fire. Faefire only burns living creatures but it does not affect them physically, instead the fire burns the subject mentally. It is much easier to die to Faefire than normal fire because it appears to burn much hotter than normal fire, however if the victim can fight past the pain and appearance they will be rendered immune to the fire. Darkbramble- Zachary can summon up whole hedges and rows of dangerous brambles and briars to hinder his foes. The thorns and spines of the Darkbrambles are razor sharp and when they cut a foe the cuts bleed profusely as the Darkbrambles thorns are coated in a contact anticoagulant. As soon as Zachary stops feeding them magic they wither and blow away as dust. If Zachary focuses on the Brambles he can direct them to attack his enemies but this requires almost total concentration. Smoke and Shadow- Iblis only gift to Zachary was the Shaitan’s ability to turn his body into a humanoid formed cloud of smoke and ash. Zachary can only do this for a very short amount of time. When Zachary uses it, it is typically for infiltration or for running from a fight God relations: Yishreenok is Zachary’s patron god and he is one of Yishreenok’s Necromancers. You will never find Zachary praying to Yishreenok, however you will find him talking to Vulture. Tech: Neural implant- Zachary had a neural implant added so that he can communicate with other members of the tower of stars and receive broadcasts and all calls from the guild's leaders. Crow Talon’s- A set of flexible metal strips which mirror the bones in his hands and end attached to his fingertips. When given a mental command the metal strips deploy a set of wicked talons which cover his fingers and allow him to climb and slash with them. Additionally the talons feature high density metal plates set flush to the top and bottom of Zachary’s wrist. The plates serve to black slashes to Zachary’s arms. The plates also serve as material which can be converted into hollow spines which Zachary can throw. The spines can be filled with various substances while they are being formed. Zachary simply dips the spine in one of his many vials and whatever substance is in the vial is drawn into the spine. Possessions/items/property: Cadaver lab- Zachary is the tower of Stars pathologist, he maintains their morgue, cadaver lab and autopsy room. He also performs death investigations for the Tower Toxins- Zachary has a nasty collection of exotics venoms and toxins Library- Zachary maintains an extensive library on the subjects of Yishreenok, the Fae, the Shaitan Djinn, anatomy, physiology, medicine and toxins outside of the Tower of Stars Library and Archive Vulture- Zachary’s constant companion is a Vulture. Most of the time the bird prefers to stay in the Morgue or can be found circling the Tower’s grounds. Occasionally it accompanies Zachary on missions and occasionally the Vulture simply up and disappears. Some claim it is a Messenger of Yishreenok. When asked what the bird is Zachary responds with “It is Vulture”. He never elaborates further. Skills: Poisoner- Zachary has a morbid fascination with toxins, venom and poison. Many say it comes from his witch of a mother. Wicked throw- Zachary has a knack with thrown weapons Talon combat- Zachary has little martial arts training but he is animalistic when he is using his crow talon’s Djinn strength- Due to Zachary’s father, even with his slight frame Zachary possess incredible strength for his size, approximately that of a human at their pinnacle of fitness.
