Those survivors had no way to talk to the government in Ottawa, and thus a new government was established in order to prevent annexation by any other countries. All of those in what was once Rupert's Land banded together to form an autonomous state, in order to appear strong against those who would challenge them. Leader: The Honorable Lord John Harrison. Describe the Govt.: The government is run by a group of persons in Vancouver who vote on matters between themselves, the Honorable Lord is the representative of the counsel, and acts as mediator during the meetings, the Honorable lord is voted upon by the group. Upon the retirement of a member of the counsel, a citizen may run a campaign to become a member, if they proves their worth, the Honorable Lord will appoint them to the counsel, based on other member's votes. Technological Overview: Not very advanced due to most of the land being farmland, technological centers are Alberta and Vancouver. Cultural Overview: The Country inherits the mishmash of cultures that was present in old Canada, farming is the preferred profession for most of the population, on what land is safe enough to plant in. Military Description: The military is mediocre, 50,000 men are in active service, with another 200,000 available as levies. The armored divisions are mostly made of converted farm equipment, although there are vehicles being built in the near abandoned bigger cities. There are no airborne forces, although attempts are being made using modified crop dusters.
