As for technology, I would say we should keep it rather similar to what we currently have now. 

Very minor deviances could be allowed. Eg. someone has a VR headset that has the power of a home computer, or someone has a bionic arm. 
But nothing like; someone has a giant mecca or a telekinetic helmet.
