Race - Human Age - 22 Archetype // Expertise - Hacker Skills: - Hacking • Need stolen info? A cleared record? A virus sent to your enemies? Emmi's your gal. She can hack into almost anything, at a price. - Lying • Its all part of the job, really. Years of lying to parents, authorities, even clients have trained her tongue. Attributes - Intelligent - Diligent - Stubborn - Ambitious Equipment - Laptop • A small device that can get major tasks done. Formerly a Styx Inc. product, it was altered to get things done faster and better. - Flashdrives • These things hold vital files. Viruses, ready to slip out and infect. Documents that have been deleted or altered. Plans paid by traitors to be given to the enemy. All in itty bitty drives that no one can ever fit in on their first try. Background Emmi Yung was born and raised in an environment of high expectations. Her mother, a well known mathematician, and her father, the CEO of the tech industry Styx Inc., governed their daughter through strict rules and regulations. Be on time. Focus on work and not friends. Keep everything in order. Do not, ever, make us look bad. Any complaints to these rules, even if it's as simple as a look, was met with verbal abuse and confiscation of all items. Life wasn't all bad, though. As Emmi matured, she took an interest in technology. Specifically, computers and programs. For days she would spent studying codes and data, eager to gut out her laptop and learn it from the inside out. It was one of the few things that her parents didn't hinder her on. Though creating programs was amusing, there was one area that really intrigued her: hacking. Emmi didn't just want to create codes, she wanted to corrupt, manipulate, destroy. With hacking, she held a power that she normally couldn't possess in her environment. And by God did she love it. She started small. Messing with social media accounts, editing small websites, rigging links with pranks and jumpscares -- things that she could easily get away with. Nothing big or important. After all, Emmi was still learning. But the more she did, the more ambitious she got. At sixteen, the girl was hacking into big name websites. By seventeen, she was making cash by selling stolen business plans to rivals. By eighteen, she was nearly complete with creating a small worm virus. Emmi was young, but under the name 'HOAX', she was a well known hacker in the Circuit. There were a few close calls, but no one suspected the 'well-behaved' daughter of two great minds. It seemed that everything was going to go well. Emmi was famous (even if it was through illegal means), she was making cash, and she was rebelling against the tyrants she called her parents without them knowing a thing. But nothing lasts forever. While clearing the record of a client, a slip up caused Emmi to be caught and tracked down by authorities. The incident was a big fiasco, with officials only being quieted down by her parents having close ties with the police force and media. Jail was a hairs width away from Emmi, and it was only through her famil's bribary that got her scotch free. Not out of love or family ties, though, but out of nessecity. The need to look good and keep a clean record. After all, who wants to associate themselves with someone who raised an infamous hacker? Shortly after the incident, Emmi was kicked out of the house. All ties with her family were cut, leaving the young woman to live on her own with only a bag full of clothes and a few thousand dollars. She bought an apartment, where she lingered off line for a year or so. After all, suspicions were still high. Time passed. The bills grew, and so did the urge to get back to 'work'. Hacking held a certain rush that Emmi needed, and the money was only there to add to the fun. With wha was left of her cash, Emmi bought herself her computer and, under the new alias 'k4b00m', was back online. [/hider]
