"Course that storm did do a number on my robes. I really shouldn't have worn them out like that. So yeah, I guess that's one reason to go in town...but yeah." "The storm wasn't the only factor... I rarely deal with people getting all up in my face, let alone stinking harpies." Ling pointed out the set of talon marks in her own clothing as she spoke. "If this is the kind of encounter Commander Hayes has in store for us further down the line, or if things get any worse than they were in that fight, then we're all gonna need new outfits within the week." Thinking back on her packing choices, she gave silent thanks that she'd had the sense to stuff a second set of clothes in her pack. Apart from providing padding for the more fragile of her tools, they were likely going to see some use. "Speaking of the Commander... what in Alainia's name was he thinking when he gave the order to just drop us out of the sky like he did?" Ling got to her feet and took up her crossbow again, detaching its quiver and stowing both the weapon and its ammunition in their holsters. "I mean, sure, if it stops the harpies and the drakes from swarming the ship, that's fine, but there must have been an easier way to do it without crashing into the ground. Maybe just drop altitude enough to get out of the Scar? Or was the storm large enough to reach the ground below? I didn't see much of it."
