Also is it possible for me to make twins for the roleplay? Or would you prefer just one character for each person?
Twins is fine with me, even if they're both magic. I'm fine with multiple characters, including minor school friends or something, I just wouldn't want to go overboard right from the start.
So what is the rule of thumb concerning bloodlines and perhaps apparently human people with some strange fruit in the family tree? I'd like more information on the dragons so I can determine where to go with the bloodlines stuff. Might also dive into Navajo or Algonquian mythology for some things as well, depending.
As far as physical appearance goes it works like how you'd expect, a half-goblin looks a lot more like a goblin than a 1/16th-goblin. I don't have any hard rules regarding how magic is inherited. The descendants of the Demon Lord's enemies are so many generations past they might not resemble their ancestors at all, yet they could still have similar powers, and magical humans can be born from nonmagical parents and vice versa. If you're thinking about species proportions, I say go with what you want your character to look like (keeping in mind that magical disguises are also available) or how long ago you want this nonhuman parent to have lived. I'll send you some info about dragons soon in a PM.
