"Sounds good to me." Kasai joined Avani on the motorcycle as they set off to gather a few supplies for their last night in town. When they arrived back at her apartment, she looked up to the floor where the windows showed the view into her living room and she had to keep herself from frowning. Snapping out of it, she grabbed the rest of the things and began walking with Avani up to her apartment. "Good point, looks like we'll be roughing it on our little adventure." Kasai smiled and led the way up to unlock the door. "Though I don't doubt our ability to get creative with it." Opening the door, she waited for the other woman to enter before she shut it behind them. The groceries were set on the counter in the kitchen and glasses were retrieved from the cabinet. Glancing at the phone, Kasai wondered when Naomi would be calling. She almost didn't want her to. It was true that she had brought up the idea to bide herself a little more time to prepare for leaving, but now that she had less than 24 hours to do it she was trying to accept the fact that she was going to do this. Change wasn't something she welcomed happily, and she wasn't proud of how she had tried avoiding it. Looking from the phone to Avani, Kasai studied her a moment while pouring them a couple drinks. The woman was excitable, filled with anticipation for their trip. Kasai wished she could be like that. She had plenty of confidence to go around, but her confidence lied elsewhere. Thinking of how far she, they, had come already, she reminded herself not to go back to her old ways and to embrace the change. You can do this, Kasai. Thirst for adventure, don't fear it. She thought to herself as she poured them each a glass of sake. Instead of thinking about leaving her home, she thought about how it would feel without Avani in it. Instead of the fear of change, the excitement of the unknown. Her mood quickly began to turn back around and she brought the drinks to the coffee table and sat on the sofa with a smile. "Well, I guess this is it then. Pack our bags and be on our way tomorrow. Cheers." Raising her glass, she smiled again and then took a drink. "So tell me, what destination do you have in mind? I don't want to be too unprepared, of course." Raising an eyebrow, she grinned. "If I have to pack light I'll only need the essentials... shoes, shirts, handcuffs..." Kasai teased, laughing as she did so.
