Using the chaos going on with everyone going in and out to do their jobs, Tasha quickly found herself back in Rivet city’s market with the broken enclave power armor helmet. It took her a little bit of time to convince the weapon store owner, but eventually she managed to get herself a few of his tools to use under his supervision. Thus began her tinkering with the helmet. The girl wanted to do this fast and leave Rivet city as fast as possible. For a reason unknown to her, she felt that staying here with all the Institute people around was bound to end in problem for her. She didn’t know why she felt this way, but felt it in her gut as people sometimes said. Bottom line was she needed to get this over with and leave fast. Initially she planned to stick around the brotherhood person, he seemed well equipped to deal with trouble and maybe was going to be enough for her to survive if she moved with him, but he seemed busy, so she had to return to surviving on her own. Tasha sat behind the corner of the weapon shop, away from people’s gazes and began dismantling the helmet she had. Luckily it was already damaged to a degree and it wasn’t hard to turn into pieces. Most of it was made from a sold piece of metal, probably using a mold, but she still managed to pull out the breather unit from it and the remove the remaining lense. Originally she planned to use the helm for protection herself, but the fact it was made too sold, meant it was heavy and she didn’t want to carry it all the time. Instead with the breather unit removed from it, she realized she may be able to make a portable rebreather that will allow her to breath for a time in places people normally couldn’t, like in water or gazed out rooms. Sadly she didn’t have the needed parts in the helmet alone as the breathing unit also worked in conjunction with the rest of the armor, but parts for a makeshift one, weren’t going to be too hard to find… hopefully. With her work done in dismantling the helmet, she put the useful breather unit from it in her backpack, and left the solid metal piece behind. She thanked the shop owner for letting her use the tools and quickly began making her way to leave Rivet city probably for good. She wanted as far away from the institute guys as possible. As she stepped away from the carrier, she smiled. There were bound to have interesting things in the wasteland beyond the places she had explored previously, which wasn’t much actually. She rarely moved too far away from the city before, now she had to. If she kept to the shadows and was careful enough, she should have had too much of troubles. Like this with smile and her new acquisitions she headed into the wasted town.
