[color=00FFC4]▼[/color][b]Backstory:[/b] [i] It was a dark and stormy night as most tales of twisted fate begin. A   merchant ship from the shores of South Africa came sailing through as the relentless ocean raised and lowered the vessel. The men on board all warned that it was bad luck to have a woman on board, a pregnant one at that. But the captain insisted that his wife had to be by his side during this trying time. 

With a clash and a bang, the ship had gone under. The hull broken into a million pieces from the rapid punches of the water's heavy fists. Aquaman came as soon as he could but the devastation was too grand for even him to handle. He managed to save a handful of passengers, including the captain's wife. Her life was lost during the labor of the baby girl. Arthur, distressed and heavily burdened that he could not save more lives vowed to raise the girl with his lovely wife Mera. 

Amanzi now vows to save her "father" no matter what it takes.[/i]
