"Plasma, direct attack with Blood Fears!" Megumi declared, knocking Alexander down and sending his Life Points down to 0. Megumi cheered, having won against Alexander for the 5th time. Alexander sighed as he got back up, taking his Arcanite Magician off his Duel Disk and examining it. Arcanite Magician was a fine monster, but perhaps he would need something better than her if he would stand a chance in the upcoming tournament. "What's wrong, Alex?" Megumi asked cheerfully, going over to Alexander and tilting her head playfully. "It's nothing important," Alexander dismissed Megumi. "Let's go home. It's starting to get dark." "Okay!" Megumi agreed, and the two walked off. "What a match, though! If I didn't draw Plasma at that moment, I might have lost!" Megumi said. "It's all thanks to you for helping me with my deck!" "Yeah, mm-hmm," Alexander said, still in thought about how to make his own deck stronger. Perhaps he would go to a nearby card shop and purchase a few packs. There might not be anything in them, but it was worth a shot. "Alex, you sure you're ok? Maybe a little salty?" Megumi teased. "Hush, you," Alexander replied curtly, rubbing Megumi's head. Megumi giggled as the two walked.

The next day...
Alexander put together his last minute deck and inserted it into his Duel Disk. The packs he bought yesterday had a few interesting cards, but only time would tell if they were any good. Speaking of time, the time for the tournament was here. Alexander left his room and began wandering, intending to do his absolute best in the tournament.
