National History: In the  aftermath of the war the South american governments which had escaped largely untouched by the nuclear fire were falling apart as governments and Cartels fought over control of the northern states and nations looked to settle old scores. As the Argentine government  which was barely holding onto power was overthrown by a militaristic group of ethnic Germans who set themselves up as the new government and begun to consolidate power in the military. With the chaos of the change of government Southern Argentina broke away and allied with Peru  to retake the government the following war which ended in a cease-fire agreement in 2048 after The ND captured Peru’s secondary capital of Puerto Mont. Shortly after the ND begun mass conscription of it’s new territories and launched a war against its neighbors to unit South America. Despit the ceasefire minor skirmishes are common along the South border . 
In order to maintain order the largest portion of the army consists of  military police which also is used as local police. The laws are fairly harsh with most crimes punishable by service in the punitive battalions which forms the first wave of any offensive. Dissenters are forced into hard labor along with their families.

Describe the Govt.: A military “Democracy” in which only senior officers can vote.

Technological Overview: With most of the world a flame the ND  began producing older designs to outfit its armies the main service and policing weapon is the Steyger Aug and standard gear includes kevlar vests. Civilian tech is mostly around the  early 2000’s level.
  
Cultural Overview:Culture has become severely neglected since the Germans took over and as time passed with the increasing military presence in most towns and cities, many people have adopted the regiments  stationed in their cities taking in the army customs and traditions.
 
Military Description:With over 2 million active personnel of which half are military police which use concentrated tear gas and heavy riot gear to put down any disorder. Of the million other troops 700 thousand are infantry, 50 thousand are marines, 50 thousand work as mechanized infantry, 200 thousand work as logistics and support.	The Navy consists of one aircraft carrier that has been refitted to act as the marines base of operation and two museums battleships .
