[@olcharlieboi] dude can you even science wow Here's something that'll REALLY burst your 'melon: How to see THE PAST Okay, so in Quantum Physics, as I've been saying, there is Quantum Entanglement. This is when a pair of really fucking small particles decide that they're going to be buddies- but they are ALWAYS going to be opposite, ALWAYS, FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER. So if one is in State A and the other is in State B, then if one changes, the other will immediately change, so that they are always opposites. And the change is immediate- every sort of communication in the world travels somehow- by wire, by optic cable, by sound, by light, even. But it's all limited- we have yet to find something that travels faster than light. This, on the other hand, is instant. Regardless of where it is. It is INSTANT. No signal. Nothing. It just IS. And so, if we take a device that uses a half dozen Entangled pairs to communicate to another device with the other half of the Entangled pairs, we could create a text-based communications device that is instantaneous. Now let's put one of those devices on Earth in Houston, and the other out on a satellite a SINGLE LIGHTYEAR away from Earth. Now, we take super-zoomies telescopes on that satellite, and zoom in on Earth. Because all that we see is nothing more than light reflecting off objects, and our eyes (or mechanical lenses) picking them up, so if something was a lightYEAR away, then it'd be a year before the light from the current time to reach the satellite- so the satellite would be seeing, at the same time as we are receiving it, stuff from a year ago. Because science.
