The flight from Sapporo to Fukuoka wasn't particularly long - a mere two and a half hour - but the landing delay due to runway congestion had her cramped in the plane for another two hours, which pretty much drained most of her energy from the frustration. She rubbed her forehead gingerly. The hearing wasn't as bad as she had feared - on the contrary, she was secretly pleased with this arrangement. She was getting sick of cooping up in the cold, blank walls of the facility, plagued by horrifying screams that echoed throughout the building from somewhere deep below, an area where low-rank staff like her could never step foot into without getting an immediate headshot from the stoic guards. The sun was almost setting, but the soft heat of the air outside caressed her pale skin with a warm pinch - here, she felt truly alive. She took out the smartphone from her pocket and glanced at the address on the screen. Perhaps this was too good to be true - they probably did this on purpose to give her a false sense of freedom.
