Appearance: 

Even if you didn't know his name it would be easy to identify Stellan's Norwegian heritage in his appearance. He has the typical slavic facial features with a prominent forehead, deep set piercing blue eyes and chiseled features. His hair is a dirty blonde and reaches past his shoulders. He commonly wears this in a single braid. He has a light beard also blonde which is kept short and neat except for a longer section of hair in the middle worn in a short braid. 

Stellan can only be described as big, he stands head and shoulders above most people and is pure muscle, he has a broad chest, thick arms and legs and plently of muscle. But he is not over muscled (like a body builder) as he has built his muscles over time from carrying heavy loads etc and is perfectly proportioned. When off duty he usually wears faded jeans and plaid shirts. He has several tattoos,a large one of  yggdrasil (Norse world tree) on his back and a series of rings made up of Norwegian words around his left wrist (together they say: Be strong when you are weak, Be brave when you are scared, be humble when you are victorious)       

Personality:

Stellan is one of the most easy going and laid back people you could ever meet, his apparent infinite patience and good nature make him very easy to like. He is often smiling or laughing (he has deep and booming laugh) and seems to genuinely like most people that he meets. He accepts people as they are flaws and all and because of this he is well liked, most people gravitate toward him liking his easy going and happy nature. 

People often assume because he is so often like this that he does not get angry or upset, this is of course untrue, and are then shocked when he loses his temper or becomes emotional. It takes a lot to make him snap but when he goes, best to run for the hills as it has been pent up for a long time. He has been soldiering most of his life and so is a professional but his CO's know to expect him to crack jokes regularly and they usually don't mind as nit keeps morale up.     

Biography:
Stellan lost both his parents at an early age and was raised by the state, he went through several foster homes and orphanages before being permanently adopted by an ex soldier and his wife. His adoptive father raised him, along with his own sons, with the discipline and regimented life he had learned in the military and Stellan became used to such discipline. The man was strict but fair and ensured all his boys knew how to look after themselves and that they were 'raised right'
Stellan decided early that he wanted to follow in his fathers footsteps and do his part to protect those he cared about. He joined the military and served with distinction as a heavy infantryman (with his build he couldn't really be anything else) until he was deployed to his new posting in the S.E.U
