Naota watched the head get cleaved right off, surprised that he killed the Ghoul so easily. Just early, they were showing so much confidence earlier. Was it just a false display? A desperate attempt to scare off the two Doves? Yet none of them ran when Ashido had so easily killed what seemed like their leader. But now wasn't the time for Naota to be lost in his thoughts, afterall a Ghoul was attacking from the back. On instinct, Naota slid the pole through his hands, the pointed end aiming at the Ghoul who was attacking. He turned his head and thrusted it backwards, aiming at Ghoul's Kagune and also aiming to pierce through it and the Ghouls shoulders. Naota wanted answers and the first one had died too easily.
