Raising a skeptical eyebrow, Slick retorted. "[color=ed1c24]Well excuuuse me for trying![/color]" His tone was light and not at all offended.

"[color=ed1c24]Truth be told, I've always wanted to do that...[/color]" Slick revealed as he shook his head, then began to chow down. Eva's question about him and AJ nearly made him choke and he had to beat his own chest with a fist to get the overly large swallow of food down. "[color=ed1c24]I thought it would be a nice idea to catch up... did you have something planned? Because, swear to God, I'll tell her I'm busy later.[/color]" Everyone knew that Slick put Eva's needs in front of his own. He'd even been the one to help her practice for the Captain position.

Slick worried he'd hurt his best friend's plans, his own personal denial making him miss the surefire indicators that Eva did have a [b]very[/b] personal problem with the card game. A few of the underclassmen girls had already tried to catch his eye, but there was only one choice for the Welcoming Ball, Elize. With those looks... well Slick couldn't pass up this chance. He was asking her, but he had no idea what to wear, how to look. AJ was his ticket to a personal fashion advice column and he was going to take advantage of such assets.
