Can one play as a non-Chosen character? Don't worry, I'll also be making a Chosen character to keep in the spirit of the RP.
Hm... Well, I would say it's possible, but I think they would have to be a companion more than anything so to speak. Like, they would have to be a companion of a Chosen character, perhaps?
Do titans have names? Also how long ago was the scourge? He is not often enthusiastic about what others bring to him in conversation. He is, however, not silent either. He will talk, and he will often give his two-pieces on whatever is going on. Although his appearance wouldn't suggest it, Reynar is a well-intentioned and friendly young man. He warms up to people quickly, but doesn't necessarily become intimate quickly either. Reynar is also greedy, but not over coin or material wealth. He has a covetous mind, seeking knowledge. After everything shifted throughout his life and all humanity thought to be true crumbled, an unparalleled amount of information was born. One could even say what he could learn is still oozing from the womb of change. Reynar does not fear the scourge, but is instead almost infatuated with them. With how they came into their existence, and how everything else followed. Titan’s Personality: Reynar's titan is groundlessly cowardly, and hates to be in a fight. The titan is also fussy, and enjoys nit-picking Reynars actions both in and outside of a stressful situation. The titan wishes simply to survive another day and, like Reynar, learn about the world. Unlike Reynar, however, the titan has a soft-spot for others of its kind, and will often force Reynar to act up in order to save them. Other then that, Reynar is the one who gets them into combat. The Titan has some maternal traits and when it isn't giving Reynar shit, it might end up try to give it advice or open his mind's eye to new views. Motives/Goals: Reynar and the Titan both have the same motives, to survive and learn. Backstory/History: Reynar's life before the scourge was nothing. Nothing as in, he was average in every way imaginable. He did track, he had a group of friends that was tight-knit, a girl he had the hots for, all of that jazz. Average shit. Hell, even his 'quirks' were average. Nothing that made him stick out. He was nothing. However, he didn't react normally when the scourge was born into this world. One could say that is when he truly took his first steps into extraordinary action began. While others ran, Reynar documented the scourge. He drew pictures, examined the corpses, watched them live. Watched them kill. Watched them dish out every kind of havoc imaginable, and he loved it. Well, not the deaths of all his family and closest friends. Its not that he wasn't sad throughout this entire event, not at all, many a'nights he would spend himself crying to sleep. However, even when his life turned into a living hell, he couldn't help but bask in the magnificence of the most amazing threat he had ever seen. As the scourge grew, Reynar eventually was taken to a shelter towards the northern antarctics. It was during this time that he was hit with a bolt of lightning. At first he was confused and scared, and then mystified. Struck by lightning and it didn't even leave a scratch; it actually left him a sweet tattoo! Despite what happened marked the more interesting part of his life, it flew by Reynar like nothing else. He grew to learn about his Titan and others like him could say he even got along with it well. After he turned 18, Reynar would begin to explore the new world. Never taking notes, only reading new books and learning new languages, he traversed the strange land and did everything he could to make it a fun trip. Skills: His memory is top-notch, and Reynar is a decent repairman. He can fix simple tools and machines with minimal effort, as well as pick out whats edible and what isn't in the wild. Resonance: B+ (want me to use something else or just describe their relationship?) Powers: Reynar's body is extremely versatile. He can alter his limbs and body parts from regular arms and legs to tentacle conglomerates that can extend quite far, and can crush or bend metal with relative ease. He can also coat his altered body, or even just his regular one, with teeth that can suck out the blood of flesh it lacerates and uses it to heal himself. His body itself can take quite a beating, and upon impact become as strong as iron, and depending on what organs are involved in the hit, bones and skin can even reach steel level hardness. The more he alters his body with his powers, the more clams and barnacles begin to grow off of his body. Transformed limbs also give off light amounts of seawater. Transformed Powers: At full size, the body he has can create any number of tentacle-constructs from the mouth that forms through the middle of its body. Like with his human powers, they can extend great distances and have immense physical strength. However, unlike his human side he is able to give some of them crab-like claws at the end to tear and grab with. The giant mouth can also take inside organic material, and use it to fuel itself and regenerate. It's more stable body parts are quite durable, and can also heal extremely fast. The mouth, barnacles, clams, and other stationary under-water life that grows off its body can also produce high-volumes of seawater. In this form, Reynar can manipulate the seawater and use it to his will. Either to create high-pressure blasts or to create waterjects capable of cutting even the hardest of metals into two. And just for funsies, his actual arms are even stronger then the constructs that come form within his mouth, and his claws drain blood from enemy monsters and can use portions of it to heal his smaller wounds. Equipment: Reynar carries a wallet with multiple currencies and thats about it. Other: Think of His power-set and titan as a deep-sea hybrid of some Lovecraft deity mixed with a leech and some other random shit. It was designed to take a big fucking beating and make it out alive.
Have to re-read the OOC a couple of times before makin backstory and powers so meeh. Also if the personalities b too short, tell me and Ill make sure to fluff em up a bit 8D EDIT- OH BTW. When they 'force' a transformation how awesome is it? Or is it like a bad corruption where its like weaker and shit. Is it actually not awesome at all? Also assuming that the tattoo mark left on the characters slightly represents the titan you harbor. DOUBLE EDIT - How do you rate resonance? Like 7/10? Or is it like A+ scale? Or do you do w/e you want so long as you kinda describe how they feel towards each other? Also i hope you don't mind if i end up taking some liberties with my dude's backstory. I don't wanna write anything too extreme or dumb but sometimes ya gotta force-write stuff. TRIPLE-HOPEFULLY LAST EDIT- OK SO I JUST KINDA WENT W/E WHEN DESCRIBING HIS TITAN POWERS, SO IF THEY ARE WAAAY OFF I WILL COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND IF YOU TELL ME TO FIX MY SHIT AND WIPE MY FACE.
Titans do have names, yup! As for the Scourge, it's been 10 years since they came to Earth, and another 10 years since the Titans, The Colossal one, and their allies came to Earth. When you force a Titan Transformation, the coloration and shape of your Titan is off along with their mentality and your powers are more... skewed, and your resonance with the Titan drops as well- but the power gained during the transformation is stronger. For example, if you forced your Titan to transform their appearance wouldn't be so 'oceanic' but perhaps more grossly or maybe even with multiple maws or other unwanted protrusions forming from their bodies. Instead of being passive and peaceful, they may instead become aggressive and seek to fight and even tear their opponents to pieces. Eventually, if enough corruption happens, they may instead use blood or corpses to fuel their attacks instead of water itself as they start to gain a more demonic appearance. The Titans are, just like you, living and malleable creatures that are capable of changing and growing as well. Depending on how you use them they could become corrupted entities that slowly claws away at the very fiber of your being... or something with enough power that can rival a God itself that you can truly rely on. It all depends on how you use them. For the resonance rating, I'll be going off of a percentage rating with everyone's individuals actions to cause their rating to cause it to go up or down. Everyone's rating should, initially start off somewhere between 50 or 80 percent. If you're higher or lower, then you really need a good reason and should talk to me. 50% is Neutral, where as 80% is Very Good Terms. As for Reynold, I would just edit his age and his backstory to match the time of things a bit. If you're going for a type of underwater-like Titan, then I think his Titan and their powers are a good match. Also, I did finish up my example CS/Sign-UP for those who were struggling or need something to go by. Here's Shiro, and I hope that they end up helping some of you guys out with your characters!

Name: Shiro
Age: 20
Sex: Male?
Ethnic: American-Japan
Appearance:

Titan’s Appearance:

Personality: Shiro is a rather naive and somewhat gullible person, willing to believe people without seeing the ill-intentions that they may be having hidden within them. To Shiro, they believe that in every person there is good and that there is no reason for people to commit selfish deeds anymore considering the dire situation the human race is left with. This could leave to them being easily manipulated, but at the same time hard to actually kill someone unless a truly atrocious act is committed. Looking out for others and looking to where their help may be needed, they will always lend a helping hand out no matter one's social status. A kind, generous soul at heart and someone who would risk everything to protect those precious to them.
Titan’s Personality: Arbor, unlike its host is rather keen and observant. Due to Shiro's nature Arbor provides insight and advice to some matters along with how to go about things, although he doesn't approve of his host's gullibility to trust everyone. Wanting to see justice laid out to those who abuse their power and the weak protected, along with the Scourge obliterated at all costs, Arbor will give his powers freely as long as Shiro's actions are within those areas of reason. However, if Shiro continues their naivety things may end up changing.
Motives/Goals: So far, Shiro only wants to see the people protected and the Scourge kept away from people, along with people living as happily as they can. Whether this changes or not in due time is still up for debate.
Backstory/History: Shiro wasn't born in a wealthy or a poor family, nor were they immediately affected by the Scourge's arrival. Having lived a perfectly normal life up until the moment they had their Titan suddenly sealed within them, nothing was out of the unusual. Upon gaining Arbor, things changed when it led the Scourge to location of their desolate little town that was isolated from society. The normal life that they had was gone and was replaced with the realization that things were now different. Having lost their family when the Scourge came and having almost lost their own life were it not for Shiro's will to live forcing the transformation of Arbor did they survive. Never did they want to see families torn or towns destroyed again, and instead did they want to see the people protected and live in peace.
Skills: Outside of the swordsmen knowledge that they gained from Arbor, Shiro knows how to hunt basic animals and to set up camp with little to no actual tools. They are also an excellent cook as well!
Resonance: 76%
Powers: Shiro has two small versions of Arbor's signature Shield-Swords that they can materialize whenever they wish. Despite being incredibly lightweight, they are indestructible and are incredibly sharp tools that are more than capable of cutting through metals. Thanks to Arbor's holy attribute, Shiro has resistances to holy magic and is capable of use holy magic themselves such as healing, basic blasts of holy magic, and shield-type magic as well. Shiro also is extremely fast and is quite strong, being able to lift a tank with some effort.
Transformed Powers: Arbor, as the Titan of Chivalry has quite an array of powers and skills at his disposal, with his most notable being his four Shield-Swords that are attached to his arms. They are indestructible weapons that serve as both the ultimate defenses and the ultimate offenses, being capable piercing through the toughest of armor and nullifying divine enchantments, however they wouldn't be able to bypass an ability that would be stronger than a Titan's. They are immune to holy magic and are incredibly fast while having extreme strength, while sacrificing some durability. Being able to cast the highest tier holy magic such as divine healing, sacred shields, angelic flight, and stronger holy blasts more than make up for these lack in durability. Arbor's main weapons have a second ability, being able to split apart and shed their shielded armor that folds outwards and become longswords, sacrificing their defensive attributes for immense attack power. This also frees up Arbor's hands that are hidden within the weapons, allowing him to use them however he sees fits and more mobility with his arms, further strengthening his offensive capabilities. It could be said that Arbor's true strength lies within his incredible versatility in combat compared to the other Titans.
Equipment: Shiro has of course two small versions of Arbor's weapons, a backpack with some camping supplies, a few trade goods, and a weeks worth of food and water. They also have the clothes on their back as well.
