Name: James Feryana Nicknames: James, rarely Jimmy, and very, very rarely 'Mr I owe ya' (see what I did there. Sounds a lot like 'Iowa'. I think.) Codename: Iowa Age: 23 Rank: Freelancer Specialty: Hacking, Electronics, short range. Armor:

Armor Ability: Thruster Pack Appearance: Outside of his armour, James normally looks quite shy, and quite innocent. He has short, slightly curly black hair, small ears and innocent-looking blue eyes that are normally glancing around at James' surroundings. He has small lips, and a small nose. James stands at around 5'7, and is quite thin and fit. It is noted that he walks with soft, careful steps, unless he is in combat, where his adrenaline would be pumping and he wouldn't have to think about what he is doing with his feet. Well, unless he is standing in a minefield. History: Just like lots of other children, James had lots of jobs he wanted to take part in. He was good with computers, so he wanted to be a computer engineer. He was also good with electronics, so he wanted to be an electrician. His parents just nodded, and helped him learn. One day, James was watching a program about marines, and the UNSC. He turned to his parents, and he said to them; "I want to be a marine!" They simply nodded, taking it as another swing of which career the boy wanted when he was older. The only thing was, James hadn't taken another swing. He had made his choice. As James grew up, he started taking part in more physical exercises. He got himself really fit, but also continued to study computing and electronics as well. Years later, when he was nineteen, he told his parents that he was going to register for the marines. His parents looked at each other with a very, very nervous look, then told James to sit down. they had a very long talk with him, and eventually were convinced that James was going to be alright in the marines. The next day, James walked to the nearest recruitment station, and registered himself. James took part in many missions, a lot of which included him because of his skills in computing. The skills he had meant he could hack into things quite easily. A few more years, and he was making incredible progress in the marines. It was by this he was invited to join Project Freelancer, to which he accepted. James was asked questions, to which he answered. He was asked he he wanted to ask anything, to which he did ask a few questions. Afterwards, he was put through an exam, and was truly admitted into Project Freelancer. He started to train a bit more in short range combat than he originally had in basic marine training, and continued to train in hacking. Personality: James is normally quite caring of his teammates, but is also quite shy, meaning that meeting new people isn't exactly his specialty. Otherwise, he is a fun guy to be around, often cracking jokes, sometimes even in the heat of battle at an LZ, he would probably say something like; "The LZ is hot. Not 'cause of all the bad guys, but because I'm here." He treats his teammates like family, growing quite attached to them. He is easily made upset, but just as easily made annoyed. James will sometimes come up with good ideas during combat that would support the team. Any specific weaknesses/flaws: "Iowa, hit that barn door. It's at a medium distance away, so it shouldn't be hard to miss." "You hit two bullets out of ten. That's horrible." James is not good at medium-long range fighting. He also likes to experiment a little. Both a good thing, and a bad thing. Quirks: James sometimes makes jokes at the worst possible times he could.
