Her hair is cropped short and is dyed with whatever color she favors for the month (this time was blue). Her eyes are a dark hazel color, but she's taken to wearing green contacts. She has a number of tattoos around her body. The most noticeable ones are the Fiske family insignia on her left shoulder blade and a tilted written script of the name "Valeska" on her right wrist. Her clothing style is casual, but she can almost always be seen wearing the colors of her kingdom - blue, white, and grey. | Personality | ✯ Loyal ✯ Stubborn ✯ Charismatic The first thing most people noticed about Evie - other than her brightly colored hair - was her bright smile. Unlike the people of cold and desolate Shdowpine, who acted very much like their frozen country, Evie was one to greet people with warmth and affection, traits she had seen and mimicked from the Queen. While manipulation is a trait one must learn in the court, especially in her kingdom, it was one something Evie never liked to use. She would rather give her words with honesty - and more often than not, without a sense of tact. Despite her usually sunny attitude, Evie maintains her respected position by proving to the people that should anyone or anything harm those that she cares for, her wrath was not to be challenged. Under the heavy-handed rule of Reinhold Fiske, Shdowpine acquired wealth for the price of several underhanded and morally unjust transactions. Human trafficking was perhaps the most prevalent in the kingdom's black market, with the King himself watching over the business. Most of the Shdowpinians knew of the noblemen's morally unjust practice, but none ever spoke of it. They were well-fed and well-dressed, and the only prayers they spoke was that none of their loved ones would be targeted by the market next. Evie was one such victim of the trade, but no word of it has ever been spoken. She was only an infant then, perhaps a week old, when men garbed in white cloak emblazoned with a black cross - the mark of the Sacregar, Shdowpine's black market - slew her biological father after they'd been paid by a jealous neighbor. The Sacregar murdered the family, but hadn't expected that there would be an infant in their midst, and their first thought had been to put a bullet through her skull as well. It wasn't until one of them brought up the option that they could sell her had they took her in their arms and brought them back to their base. King Reinhold had been in the Sacregar that night, drowning away his melancholy at the news of his wife's miscarriage. When he saw the child brought in by the Sacregar, he immediately fell in love with the way she smiled brightly at him. He'd taken her and ordered the Sacregar to destroy any remnants of her less than noble parentage. She would be his heir, his darling little girl. He presented the child to his wife, Sylva, and told her that their own had survived. Simply happy to have a child in her arms, Sylve chose to overlook the fact that the child's eyes, a dark hazel, didn't resemble their green. And so Evie grew up as a royal, treated as the King's own flesh and blood. She'd taken to wearing colored contacts - a bright green - in order to hide her heritage. She'd been told it was for her vision, and that she must never remove them unless of sleep or to clean them. Evie never realized that her eyesight was perfect, believing what had been etched so deeply into her mind even as a child. Evie quickly won over the hearts of the people. She would often visit the poorer cities, with her brightly colored hair and bright smile, to simply observe the people. They had taken to preparing sweets in anticipation of her visits, and many young children would run over with their instruments to play music with her. They loved her, and they would always hold a dear place in her heart. Evie was fifteen when the queen bore a son. Even as a child, the people knew that Feliks was horrible. He was spoiled and treated his subjects like their were insects, and the people were glad that age dictated the rightful heir and not gender. But there were those who did not share the people's thoughts. A member of the Sacregar knew of Evie's hatred of their practice and that when she rose to the throne, the Sacregar would be no more. He would not have that. He had been the one who had his gun pointed at the infant's forehead many years ago, and despite the King's orders he had allowed one piece of Evie's heritage to remain - a now filthy baby blanket with the name her biological parents had given her embroidered on the cotton, Valeska. The member of the Sacregar had written the name down on the walls of Evie's room, over and over again. Reinhold ordered the room to be scrubbed clean, thunderous in his fury to find the culprit, but Evie had fallen in love with the name. Reinhold was near faint when the next day, he found the very name he'd worked the servants for hours to remove had now been permanently etched on his daughter's skin. Some of her most noticeable features are the scars on her back, her hips, and on the underside of her chin. She also has the name of her mother tattooed in fine script on her ankle, just below where her crutches fell. Her crutches are black and are strapped to her legs. It's not that noticeable, especially since she'd taken to wearing pants after the incident. She dresses comfortably when at home, but she likes to put on nice clothes whenever she leaves the house just to intimidate people. Despite her pretty face, her lips are almost always pulled down into a scowl. | Personality | ♔ Intelligent ♔ Ruthless ♔ Snobbish Blake is vengeful. She's not one to allow a wrongdoing to go unpunished, especially if it was done to her. You would find yourself the target of her manipulative ways should you harm her in any way, and it wouldn't be fun. With this knowledge and the fact that she held quite a reputation - with some people still believing that she had killed her own mother - people choose to keep their distance from the cold and snobbish girl. For Blake, it was fine since she saw them as beneath her. She was the princess, despite having been cut off from the family, and she believed herself to be the smartest among them. In their land were the brightest minds of the world, all huddled together to create scientific wonders and advancements that merely years ago were absurd dreams. But not in Xaecia. In Xaecia, boundaries are pushed and traditions are questioned. Blake was the only daughter among four older brothers and was the apple of her mother's eyes. There was nothing the Queen wouldn't give or do for her daughter, which got young Blake the jealous fury of her older brothers. It didn't help that although Xaecia was a monarchy, the next in line was decided by their Intelligence Quotient - in a test they had to take annually - and Blake had the lead by a long margin. Fearing for their status, Blake's older brothers had made a plan. Blake was only seven years old then. The official statement was that it had been a car crash, but the King knew better. Despite it, he had chosen to allow his emotions to take control and he put the blame on Blake. The repercussions of the Queen's unfortunate death had been placed on the seven year old princess, who had suffered injury of her own. Crippled and criminalized, Blake left the castle to live with one of the servants of the royal family - a cook by the name of Liana. Despite her young age, Blake knew all that happened. She knew of her brothers plan and the King's denial. She knew and she made plans of her own. The first thing she did was to construct crutches that would allow her to resume motor functions. It took her a year of constant testing and the exhaustion of all the supplies in Liana's house, but she'd been successful. She would never be as agile as she could have been, but she could walk without trouble. The next had been to constantly hone herself. She made her name known in the kingdom, not because of the crime she'd been accused of committing, but because of her excellence. By the age of thirteen, she lead her own circle of technicians and scientists under the name of the Phantoms. Unknown to the monarchy, they created weapons to be sold to the nearby countries. One of their closest associates were the Sacregar, but Blake held the stance that the Phantoms would not include themselves in the matters of the state. They would simply provide arms and information. When Blake had reached the age of 18, she had expected the King to come to her. She knew of the Ball and what it meant for her. She'd been promised to someone the moment she was born, and the King was loathe to turn his back on his word, even if he held ill will towards his daughter. She was to accompany her brothers to the Ball and look pretty as though nothing had happened. But she would show them. She was better than them and the whole world would know it.
