She was not ready for this kind of situation. What was proper protocol for this? It was a bit too late for a greeting, and a salute wouldn't be proper in this situation. 

A protocol book was written for a haruspex, so why couldn't Valkyries get one? 

Godelvia just needed to keep calm, and try to act like she understood how social interaction went. Hopefully, she wouldn't screw up, and potentially ruin the entire mission.
