Did you know that Pedro Lascuráin Paredes holds the record for the shortest presidential run? He was elected on February the 19th and he was out of the office on February the 19th? He only lasted 45 minutes. The reason for this was due to the fact that a General had overthrown the actual president and Pedro was the next to succeed the previous president. General Huerta wanted the presidential post, so he ordered Pedro to succeed Madero, the previous president, and inmediatly resign and hand the power to Huerta.
