Personality: Alek is resourceful, cunning, and very innovative.  These traits, treasured by any military, were Alek's strongest characteristics, even when put against the RAF's best.  The constant danger and drive to survive enhanced these traits into refined tools Alek used to conquer seemingly impossible situations.  Though Alek is an adept strategist on-the-fly, he can be arrogant and is skeptical of any ideas but his own.  
Though his respect and loyalty for his team was immeasurable, since leaving the Spetsnaz he is cold, unemotional, and detached.  He often appears pained, as if his thoughts are too much to bear.  As little else offers solitude from his thoughts, occasionally he drinks, heavily.          
    

History: Alek's childhood was one of luxury, but not safety.  A rebel by nature, Alek enjoyed a street fight as much as anything else.  He got good, too good for his own good.  On a particular night his anger got the best of him.  That night was the closest he came to killing anyone.  It was also the night that would set his future into motion.  At his trial, given the choice of jail or military, Alek joined the RAF.  His military career was quick, but incredibly succesful.  Initially an infantry unit, he was moved to a special operations unit after the upper brass realized his potential.  Top scorer in testing, second to none in fitness, and a natural leader.  And so, his Spetsnaz career began just two short years into the RAF.  

Alek's time in the Spetsnaz was as short-lived as his Infantry career.  Two years in spec ops, a mishap in a mission found Alek with frag shards embedded in his back and unable to move without fear of paralyzation.  After being discharged for his injury, Alek moved on, even after recovery.  After his misfortune, Alek decided to become an intellectual and expand his mind.  He opted to attend an American university, as his parents wrote the checks and they wished to leave the country anyway.  Little good came from this decision either.  

714 and 718.  That was the aircraft numbers departing Russia that morning.  Sometimes Alek wished he had been on the same plane.  One made it to America unscathed.  The other made it to a field 30 miles from the airport.  Living off inheritance until he could figure out a way to go on, Alek made perhaps his worst decision yet.
