Cynbel seems like a good guy but I think he's being abrasive because things keep getting worse and he's just trying to salvage what he can. Which is made worse by the Pantheon not having any centralization and ambiguous loyalties abound. 

It's like trying to save everyone on the Titanic with a single lifeboat and everyone hates each other or has hidden motives. While being fired at by a Battleship(Armageddon-Dragon).
