Cupping her hands around her mouth in an attempt to amplify her voice, the small child yelled back a response at the transcendent human being who had addressed their group.

"This whole place is kind of boring, though. There isn't a candy store or anything. What kind of city is this? Not the kind of city I want to live in, that's for sure. Hey, hey, if you guys aren't going to do that fighting thing that Mr. Superpower Guy just talked about, do you want to walk around with me and look for a cool store that sells cool things? It'll be like an adventure, come on!"

Hopping up and down excitedly, the defenseless little girl waited for one of her new friends to say that they'd accompany her.
