What madness was this? We died for real if we died here? Seriously? Then... this was truly a gift, a life of his own choosing not one handed to him by fate... what a wondrous gift, and it was not just his, but belonged to the entire game population! Cin began laughing, a deep rolling laugh. People started looking at him very strangely indeed as the laughter continued. This tragedy was a dream come true for Cin Vhetin, even his screen name implied it. It meant fresh start, clean slate, in a the language of a nomadic warrior culture. And he finally had it, at last no one would judge him for his father's failures, or his sister's shameful decisions, none of that mattered anymore, no one knew any of that here, and he was free at last from his haunting past. The relief, the hope, was enough to keep laughing and crying for several minutes. When he finally got a hold of himself, he heard someone call him a sick bastard, but for once it didn't bother him. He decided that he would finally become the man he'd always wanted to be, Cin Vhetin, and he'd start today. Cin made his way out of town quickly, finding a few week mobs on his way down the road, he decided to test his skills. He donned his armor, a simple cap and breast plate, in addition to the pauldron he'd been wearing all day. He needed to get some good boots next. He loved his weapon, a Halberd fashioned after ancient European weapons once used to fight for territory and guard treasures. He hefted it, relishing it's weight, and charged the nearest enemy, yelling a challenge and swinging the halberd up and over his head, slamming it down onto his target. He watched with joy as the health bar depleted, but was dismayed to see the creature survived the hit. He dove left, rolling around the haft of his weapon, before rising to his feet and heaving a back stroke into the passing monster. With squeal of pain the creature died, leaving Cin panting but elated. He looked at the loot dropped, and saw there wasn't much of any use to him, but he could sell it at the next town for some cash so it wasn't worthless. He looked around and spotted a new challenge and attacked it. He didn't pay any heed to the group charging up the path. They roamed about killing everything in their path. He was fighting a third mob, when the group got to him, and one of them shoved him into the dirt, slaying the mob himself, before moving on laughing. Cin stood up and brushed himself off, glaring at the boy, but not stupid enough to fight an entire group all by himself. He regretted not taking time to find a partner to two to help him along. But counted his blessings that this group had only wanted the loot and experience from the mobs. He could have been killed on the first day, and then his gift would have been wasted. He'd have to be more careful in the future. He checked his list of friends, all three of them. Two had already joined a guild, but one was still free lance like himself, he decided to send him a quick message, asking to group up and giving his current location. "Hey TsuMeTai, it's Cin, we killed some wolves earlier today, remember? I was wondering if you'd be interested in working together, I know we can beat this game, but it'll take some team work, so you up for it? [@LadyTale]
