collab between Jamie and Cody As someone aprpoached Jamie, a new person, or someone Jamie didn't recognise, Jamie saw that they appeared nervous, and approached, adopting a calm reassuring manor. "Hello? Are you looking for me? I'm Master Jamie, guild master of Phoenix Wing" "Umm Cody Bloodstein....James told you?" Cody muttered nervously as he put his weight from one foot to the other, almost looking like a silly dance. "I...umm helped in that Marlene ordeal. And the Celestial Beasts." Cody briefly explained as his nervousness was starting to fade a little. Almost as if Jamie's demeanour was contagious. "I want to join the guild?" It came out more as a question than anything else but nonetheless Cody bowed his head as one usually does when pleading for assistance or something. He probably looked like a fool but it didn't bother him too much. Now all he could do was hope that Jamie accepted his request to join the guild. Jamie smiled at cody, and said "Well, thank you for the help, then. Of course, we are more than willing to let you join!" Jamie said cheerfully, taking out the guild marker, "Colour and location?" She asked, holding out the marker, "We have a lot of new people lately, so later this afternoon, I'll bring everyone together, to make sure everyone's okay" "Umm Red, palm." Cody replied in a sort of shocked way. He hadn't expected it to be this easy to join Phoenix Wing and felt rather silly for worrying about what seems like such trivial matters now. He was unsure how to react anyway as Jamie pressed the stamp on his hand. Cody looked over the new mark on his palm with a sense of pride, admiration and happiness before turning to Jamie and bowing again. "...Thank you. See you at the meeting." Cody said with as much respect and thanks as he could muster, and as he turned a thought occured. Should he show/tell Jamie about his magic? Cody decided against it as he probably could do it later, first things first Cody needed to go to the hotel he had been staying at before and get his stuff. Jamie gave codyhis mark, waited a moment but that seemed to be all. She waited another moment before saying "is there something else Cody? You seem a bit preoccupied" Jamie smiled, and it seemed motherly, as she waited calmly for Cody to answer Cody swallowed nervously. This had been the main reason why he had joined the guild after-all, so Cody slowly turned back around to face Jamie. "Umm....my magic...." Cody hesitated as he looked at his hands. It doesn't work unless there is a degree of danger, so what he was about to ask might seem a bit strange. "Attack me." Cody suddenly put his hand up towards Jamie, his eyes narrowing in concentration. This might be a strange way to do it, but his magic was purely defensive so he couldn't think of another way to demonstrate it. Jamie blinks and shook her head, finding this to be a strange request. "I don't attack or fight my guild members, and certainly not right now. I've lost a chunk of my magic after all. Why do you wish me to attack you?" she asked, frowning slightly Cody slowly put down his hand and looked at Jamie before looking back at his hands. "Absolute Defence. That's it's name." Cody muttered before looking back at Jamie again "Lost magic, can't find intel anywhere." Cody walked over to a table and sat down at one of the chairs in a heap while looking at the floor. "Capable of blocking or negating, not much else." He added with a deep sigh as a thought occurred to him once more. Absolute Defence's main form could only be used when in danger, but Absolute Shield could be whipped out at any time; he just couldn't attack with it. "Absolute Shield, Activate." A fluid crystal coloured blob appeared in front of him and shimmered slightly, and as he moved his hand around it moved with it. Jamie appeared thoughtful. "an interesting magic. Used,'most likely, in times of war, I'd imagine. In any case, certainly useful. You will just have to work on some offensive abilities. We have a number of Sword users in the guild if you are interest" Jamie said, nodding "and we can always look for more information on this magic too" Cody looked up at Jamie and nodded his head a couple of times. "Main reason I wanted to join...find more information on it. Find other wizards to help utilize it." Cody replied with another nod and was about to mention something else but froze when he realised that Jamie said swords. "Swords?..." He trailed off in deep thought as images of the moth-person and butterfly knight came back to him, along with the sword which turned into a girl in his hands. "....What were those creatures?" Cody asked as he remembered that they mentioned that they knew Jamie "The butterfly knight, and the moth-person?" Jamie gave a shrug, "card beasts, mostly. Similar to celestial spirits but they aren't like that. They can control themselves as long as they hold their own card I believe. I don't know much. Would you like to confront them about it? They're downstairs in lock down, but again, that will have to be later" Cody shook his head for no. Those things gave him the creeps, the way they just toy with humans for fun.....Cody clenched his fist. If he never saw them again, it would be far too soon. "What do we have on dark guilds?" Cody chirped up suddenly as he remembered what he was about to say before. He also made a mental note to find one of these sword users and get them to at least teach him some basics with the sword. The change in topic wasn't surprising and Jamie shrugged "we have a lot of information on dark guilds. It just depends on which guild you are interested in. Some it's been harder to get information on" Jamie said, "fancy coming a dark Mage Hunter then, Cody?" Cody paused when Jamie asked the question. Him? Hunt down dark guilds? Not possible. He gave a light chuckle as he shook his head. "No, wouldn't stand a chance.....Just a grudge I suppose." He sighed loudly as he rubbed his temples. He didn't know why, but even though he just met Jamie something about her just made him want to talk to her. About anything, whether it be a problem or not. Jamie smiled sweetly, and said "I think we all, in one way or another, have a grudge against a dark guild. What have they done to you, Cody?" Jamie asked, taking the time to sit down, and talk with the newest member, not wanting something else to happen and another kidnapping occur. Cody looked towards Jamie in an uncertain way before starting. He didn't want to talk about it, but it wouldn't hurt to. "I don't know their name....all I remember is my parents dying and then....the entire world on fire. Even with the ultimate defense magic....I was powerless." Cody explained slowly as it started to come back to him. The memories he had tried to bury. He clenched his fist angrily as he remembered the guild mark. "I remember their mark through....It was some strange black lines which loop in and form a heart on them, and I remember a little girl in black and white bear suit." Cody added angrily as his clenched fist started shaking angrily "I hope those bastards get caught one day and rot behind bars." he pretty much spat out the last words in disgust. No matter how much hated he directed towards them, he still couldn't bring himself to hurt them. Some might call him soft, but he didn't care. Jamie was silent for a few moments. She knew a lot of the guild members had unsettling pasts, and she wished she could fix them all. "dark guilds can be the worst things on this earth, but there are also bad people out there who aren't in dark guilds. We can look for this group, and find some answers if You'd like, but I'd rather not have you go off half cocked for revenge" Cody half-smiled at Jamie's words of reassurance. "I never planned on going after them. I will only fight them if I have to. They're far too powerful for me." He replied with a small laugh "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind after all. I would probably end up dead if I went after them. I know I will meet them again through if I am in a guild, and I would rather catch them and put them behind bars than kill them." he laughed again, this time at himself. "Sounds silly doesn't it? Wanting to catch people who will try to kill you if you fight them? I just cannot bring myself to kill anything living." He shook his head at his own behaviour. He got up to leave, but before he left he turned back to face Jamie. "Really thank you for letting me join....I feel better after that talk. But I have other matters to attend to, as I believe you do." Jamie listened to Cody, seeming to muse for a time. Revenge was something Jamie knew well about, and she said softly "it's more satisfying knowing that the people that hurt you are behind bars then dead." she drew in a breath, let it out. "yes. I need to go get an energetic child ready. Go, talk with some of the other guild members as well"
