Name: Izabelle “Izzy” Votyakov Age: 27 Height: 5’5” Weight: 110lbs Pilot Class: Sky Warrior Nationality: Ukrainian Bio: Izabelle grew up in her father’s machine shop, famous across the Ukraine for the legendary planes it had been responsible for for building and maintaining. The smell of gasoline was what she woke up to each morning and grease stained most of her clothing from the work she did alongside her father. At age seven she began working in the shop and by thirteen she was working on her own, being able to fix an aircraft all on her own. She had developed a very capable mind for engineering and mechanics. However, Izabelle longed to get up there with all the ace pilots and fight in the civil war with the best of them. She snuck away from the shop to enroll in flight school when she was fifteen and returned to continue her work in the shop. Unknown to her father, she had been stashing away extra parts for a while, collecting anything that looked useful or just plain cool. In her bedroom above the shop floor, drawings and designs of aircraft littered the floor. Some had been promising, others were either just for pleasure or mistakes from inexperience. As the civil war raged on in the Ukraine, more and more planes were brought in to be repaired. The shop was considered a No Man’s Land to most pilots, regardless of their allegiance, and although they fought against each other, many talked and got along like old friends. Izabelle was kept quite busy with repairs as aircraft upon aircraft was hauled in, some to be sold for scrap, others abandoned. One of these abandoned shells was the start of Izzy’s first actual project, an older looking biplane fuselage lacking wings. It wasn’t long before her father noticed that she was no longer working on customers planes, but now her own, slowly looking more and more complete everyday. Her father confronted her one night, outraged that she had gone to flight school without telling him and that she was building a plane to fight with. At first he was unwilling to listen and hear her out. No one had ever heard of a female fighter pilot in the Ukraine and he wouldn’t allow his daughter to become the laughingstock of a male dominated trade. However, she kept pressing him on the topic everyday until one day he finally had to give in. Yes he was afraid he would lose her, but it was something Izzy had practically begged him to do. She had never asked for anything in her life so he felt obligated to give her this one gift. Two years later, the engine of The Duchess roared above Europe as she looked down for her next target. She had built a reputation as a bounty hunter across the continent, a hired gun fighting for the highest bidder. Izzy had developed her skills by flying alongside other pilots and learning maneuvers through endless practice. She had gotten the message from AA not too much later while she was in England. She’d always wanted to go to America, this was her chance. The Duchess, as she called her plane, would be making for Scotland in the morning. Constructed over several years and perfected by Ukrainian mechanics, Izzy constructed The Duchess mostly on her own, with salvaged parts from other aircraft, both allied and enemy. It costed Izzy almost nothing to build, minus the additional engines on the back and the brand new engine. Lightly armored with an open cockpit, meant to be nimble and agile. Plane Type: Custom Biplane Weapons Descriptions: 2x Forward facing 30mm machine guns, nose mounted Small bomb bay containing 3x 50lb bombs for light anti-vehicle/infantry 4x Small dumbfire missiles, 2 per wing Weaknesses: Very light armor compared to other fighters in it’s class. Occasionally has issues starting from lack of good quality fuel, however once started the engine purrs like a kitten. Alright, more like a tiger. Past Encounter: The Duchess has logged many hours in flight, however it has only seen a few dogfights and most of which were against small, lightly armed fighters. Nothing noteworthy.
