"Of course, of course I'm late..." James muttered to himself as he tried to find an open parking space. As he drove past King's parked car the young man scoffed, "nice parking asshole." Fortunately there was an open spot nearby and Jamie took it. He didn't immediately leave his car, instead he took a moment to breathe and calm his nerves. HIs morning consisted of hectic last minute packing and the drive down to the camp. He'd never admit it but he was actually quite nervous about being the new guy. Knowing no one was frightening, what if everyone was an asshole and he had to resort to being alone all summer? James shook himself out of his thoughts, there was no need to be so negative. Jamie strived to be as positive as possible, there was always somthing to be happy about. Who knew? maybe this would be the best summer of his life? Jamie shut off his car, put his keys in his back pocket, and grabbed some earbuds. He plugged them into his phone and put one bud into his ear and started playing Pandora. Before he left his car he made sure to pop the trunk, he wasn't sure how much stuff to bring so he brought like, a lot of shit. Unknown to Alexa at the time, she had pulled down the long windy driveway right behind James, the guy she had broken up with not two weeks prior to coming here. Her hands rested idly on the steering wheel of an arctic white Audi A5 Coupe. In reality, it was her father's car but since he was currently out of country she was allowed to use it. Besides, no one had to know it wasn't her own. As she rounded the corner approaching the parking lot, her hands tightened on the steering wheel. She knew that Cadillac anywhere. James freaking Wolfe. She muttered a few nasty words under her breath before talking as if he could hear her. "Why the hell are you even here, I mean how did you find this place?" She shook her head and bit her lip, pulling into one of the few remaining parking spots and turning off the car. Talking to herself was one of her odd little quirks, something she did both in class and in the bumper to bumper rush hour traffic. Jamie was busy grabbing his bags and jamming out to his music when he heard another car pull up. The first thing he noticed was that it was white. Oh no. Then, he saw the Audi symbol on the front. Oh shit. Finally, he saw a flash of blond hair and leaned his head against the car for morale support. Oh fuck. Lexi Wilde, the last girl he needed to see at the moment. The pain in his heart every time he looked at her was unfathomable. To look at the person he first loved and know that he crushed her heart because of one night, one fucked up decision, killed him inside. Today, as tradition had it, Alexa had opted to wear a red t-shirt with "Camp Liberty" plastered across the front of it, along with her running shoes and her favorite pair of jeans. Other than that, her hair was pulled back into a ponytail that sat midway up the back of her head, held there with, you guessed it, a red hairband. Up until this point, she had been in a good mood as she was returning to one of her most favorite places on the planet. She hopped out of the car and shot a glare at the unaware Jamie before moving to her truck to retrieve a military style duffel bag and matching backpack, slamming the trunk down a little harder than intended. Alexa tossed the keys to the Audi into the small, rather unimpressive looking purse that hung from her shoulder and made sure to walk past Jamie while he was looking, to let him know that this was her turf that they were on now. He was the new kid here, not her. Pushing himself off his car, James slammed his trunk shut and turned around. He had been hoping that she was just going to walk by and not interact but he was mistaken. "Well I'll be damned, look who it is..." James didn't move or respond, but kind of just watched her continue on in defeat. "Great start to the summer," he muttered to himself sarcastically. Jamie grabbed his bags, making sure he also grabbed his ukulele case, then followed Lexi. He made sure he was far enough behind so that people knew they weren't associated with each other but close enough that he could follow her direction. James assumed she was going to the Red cabin to unpack, which was where he was also going to reside for the whole summer... He was shit out of luck to be in this situation. In his left ear, music was still playing and a new song popped up. "Cause I just need one more shot at second chances Yeah Is it too late now to say sorry? Cause I'm missing more than just your body Is it too late now to say sorry? Yeah I know that I let you down Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?" Fuck you Justin and your catchy ass songs and lyrics that pertain to my situation! James thought to himself sourly. Once the Red cabin was in sight James sped past Alexa in attempt to leave the awkward situation as soon as possible. He made quick work of dropping his bags off by his bunk and leaving as fast as he arrived. Wolfe pocketed his earbuds on his way to the dining hall. Now was the time to meet new people and take his rattled mind off of Lexi. James opened the door and searched for the only other person he somewhat recognized, Leah. Unfortunately when he did spot her she was leaving with another guy. So much for that, looks like he was just going to have to eat some grub and hope someone was feeling sympathetic for the newbies. He already noticed a few girls outright staring at him, but was kind of annoyed by it, like damn women put it back in your pants. Wolfe sat alone at a vacant table eating quietly. Just as he suspected was going to happen, being the new guy sucked.
