While he had lamented his grief of his past, he felt Trixy's hand on top of his, only briefly before she pulled it back. It had been different then he expected. He always assumed a vampire would just be cold to the touch. Her touch did not have the warmth of a living body, that was true, but it wasn't as cold as he expected, there still was some warmth or perhaps his mind was merely playing tricks with him. He looked up at her when she sounded baffled by his offer. "I'll protect innocent beings but one who did a crime and gets away with no punishment doesn't deserve freedom," he said. Granted it sounded a bit like the pot calling the kettle black but he knew he had punishments waiting for him when he died. He tried to redeem himself and all he can hope that when the time comes it will be enough to lessen some of the burden."What they are doesn't matter, human, vampire, wolf, demon, or whatever the guilty deserve punishment, or a chance of redemption if they are seen able enough to achieve such a feat." He waited for an answer and eventually got it. He gave a slight smile back at her."Well the offer will remain open," he said and gave a slight chuckle ",I've been wanting a tension free day for some time, I appreciate the thought but judging my luck it will never be this easy to get such a day." "So you vampires still can taste everyday food," he said after she drank the coffee ",Plus a compliment from a Frenchy, I'll take what I can get." He wouldn't deny the fact he always did wonder if a vampire could taste anything besides blood or how meals worked if they were paired with a human or something back when the world knew nothing about them.
