[@Lmpkio][@Absolis] As the Alliance fought it's way forward through the hail of bolter fire, their disadvantage became clear. The koopas were incapable of doing any real damage, as their weapons couldn't harm the barricades the Space Marines used as cover. The Ultron units were also unable to withstand the sheer amount of punishment the Space Marines were dealing out, expertly aimed bolter rounds ripping their heads from their bodies. Only two classes of units seemed to be able to fight their way through the hail of steel; the Hulkbusters, and the Sachiel units. While the Hulkbusters were able to fight through through sheer durability, the Sachiel units seemed nearly impervious to the many attacks thrown against it. Even as the Hulkbusters were slowly stripped off by heavy anti-vehicle weaponry such as the massive Lass Cannons and Krak Missile Pods employed by the Dreadnoughts, the Sachiel units weathered the assault. Perhaps this revelation would cause the Conquerors to alter their strategy, as it was clear that no ground force besides the Sachiel units was able to fight their way through the Space Marine guns. Even as the Sachiel units approached the front lines, the Kaiju units engage the Terminators in the back. The heavy flamers seem completely ineffective against the fire-resistant Kaiju, even the withering heat of the prometheum-assisted flames doing little to damage them. However, this seemed to work both ways, as the heavy Terminator armour made the assault force nigh-indestructible. These suits were to Space Marine Power Armour what Power Armour was to Kevlar. Even as one of the 2 ton terminators was thrown through a building, it simply got up without issue, returning to the fight. Although the Black Carapace which neurologically linked Space marines to their armour allowed them far greater mobility than a human, they were still not as nimble as the Kaiju. However, when one of them got a hold of a Kaiju with it's power fist, it crushed the creature's bones and flesh into pulp with a grip that could shatter diamond. The strength of the Terminator Armour was far beyond that of normal Power Armour, and the Power Fist amplified it tenfold. As such, while the Kaiju were easily able to throw around and smash into the Terminators, they had little that could do any real damage to them. In the sky, the battle now raged between the Ultron robots and the Assault Marines. Even as an assault marine placed a melta bomb on one of the ships, an ultron unit dealt critical damage to it's jet pack, sending it spinning off into the distance. The subsequent explosion from the bomb, however, still caused the airship to begin it's descent towards the Imperial Palace. An Assault Marine handily tore his way through a squad of these robots, shouting something about "abominable intelligence". Another was gradually destroyed by repeated blasts from the Ultron bots, the attacks eventually making it's way through the Power Armour. Although the Assault Marines were vastly superior in speed, strength and durability to their opponents, the Alliance forces held the advantage of numbers, outnumbering the Assault Marines 50-1 in the sky, if not more. Combined with the fact that this was no longer their home ground, the Space Marines were no longer able to score a crushing victory as they had before. While many of the ships came down, so did many of the Assault Marines. Should one of the commanders reinforce their flying troops, it could be possible to gain the air advantage. In addition to the facts that several of the downed ships were set to crash into the Imperial Palace, and possibly disrupt the Space Marine line. Ultron meanwhile noted something quite interesting. He was an expert at understanding technology, and what he scanned of the Space Marines was most intriguing indeed. For he discovered that despite the fact that it was clearly several times more advanced than the technology applied to his lesser clones, this technology was poorly implemented. It was paired with cruder works, and less advanced technology. While the Space Marines had access to incredibly advanced technology, they clearly did not fully understand it's workings. They were simply replicating a much older technology, presumably from a more advanced era in their history. The second finding was the complete and utter lack of Artifical Intelligence, even the turrets were controlled by Tech Marines or Servitors. The massive Dreadnoughts, while superficially mechanical, contained a biological core that operated them. Based on the things they were saying, the Space Marines considered artificial intelligence 'heretical', explaining why they avoided it.
