[@Lmpkio][@Absolis][@Flamelord] The Emperor frowned, as an unknown fleet of small fighter and bomber ships entered the battle. He had prepared for his opponent to take the overhead advantage, but those smaller ships would deal a number to his men. While he wasn't all too worried about the fighters, which were specialized in ship-on-ship combat, the bombers formed a serious threat to his men. He had been driven on the defensive, and it was not a position he could hold for long. As such, he would need to end this battle quickly, before his opponent could call in more forces, or simply annihilate him with bombing runs. With a single mental command, imperceptible to those he did not wish to hear it, he ordered his army. "Move in on their commanders, annihilate the head of the snake. Each is incredibly powerful, consider them high-priority targets." The Dark Angels nodded in agreement, as the perimeter suddenly broke up. As the Sachiel units moved forward, they found themselves suddenly free of assault, the Dark Angels charging towards them as if to enter melee. One of the Sachiel units raised it's hand, to unleash it's hand-based laser, only to suddenly bend over. The creature screeched, as flames forced their way out of it's body, before it simply exploded. Another seemed to rot away to nothing, while another was crushed by an unseen telekinetic force. While the AT field provided excellent protection from ballistic weaponry, it did nothing to shield the user from the power of the Warp, and the Librarians of the Dark Angels made excellent use of this as they tore down the protective barrier of Sachiel-class units, even as a series of Krak Grenades and Melta Bombs dealt with most of the Hulkbuster units. One of them came into contact with the enemy, before a Dreadnought flung it through a sky-scraper using the enlarged equivalent of the Power Fist. The Dark Angels charged towards the enemy, bombs striking the ground around them, squads being knocked into the air, some annihilated as the plasma-based explosives ripped through their heavy armour. Expertly placed bullets tore down several of the small craft, but the might of the Empire was nigh-infallible, and no amount of firepower would take down the swarm of TIE bombers above. Furthermore, it seemed as if the situations had reversed themselves. For as the Dark Angels charged, a series of Ultron units prepared heavy weapons, Kaiju units summoning balls of molten flame, Koopas firing Bullet Bills. For a moment it seemed like the Emperor had sent his troops into a hopeless charge against a superior ranged force, making the exact same mistake the Alliance had made. However, everything had been prepared for. The enemy would inevitably resort to long-range attacks in order to deal with the Space Marines' barricades. As such, they would weaken themselves to melee assault. All of a sudden, several immense figures appeared in the midst of battle. Massive armour-clad death machines, each the size of a Dreadnought, wielding an immense Grav-Cannon. it was as if a fully armoured Space Marine had put on another, even larger suit of Power Armour. And it was apparent why, as the weapon it carried would have crushed a Space Marine's arms, Power Armour or no. Ten Dark Angels Centurions had appeared among the ranks of the ranged attackers, and as their Grav-cannons fired, a ripple of force moved through the enemy troops, crushing everything and everyone in it's path. The line was more than disrupted, it was ripped to pieces. Disorder was suddenly rampant as these massive figures were joined by a squad of Interceptors, using a combination of grenades and blades to tear their way through the enemy. This allowed the Dark Angels charge to hit, with only minimal casualties. Closing into melee with the enemy, the Space Marines ripped their way through the enemy forces, the only exceptions being the Kaiju units and the Sachiel units, who were able to hold their own in melee. However, the charge had never been meant to destroy the enemy. Instead they had merely broken through, charging towards the real target. A swarm of Space Marines charged the positions of Ultron and Satsuki, aiming their full arsenal of weaponry at the commanders as the Centurions and Interceptors kept the main body of the attacking force off their backs. All of a sudden the commanders would have about 125 Space Marines to deal with. Meanwhile, the Terminator troops were pretty much done with their enemies. The Kaiju units had formed formidable opponents, but they had not been able to deal with the sheer power of the Terminator Armour. This meant that these troops were advancing from behind, albeit slowly, ripping their way through lesser soldiers with diminutive ease. The Conquerors would be surrounded by whatever honour guard they had chosen to keep to themselves, but they would be assaulted by an immense fighting force, all of whom were currently firing on them from every direction. Even with the bombings, nothing could slow the charge, it could only kill a couple before they reached the enemy. This would be the final act of this battle. If the Space Marines failed to defeat or wound the Commanders, they would be trapped between two lines of enemy forces, with no fortifications and an angry fleet of bombers up above. But if they succeeded, and forced the enemy to retreat, that would buy Nova enough time to call down reinforcements. The Emperor sighed, as he could feel the strain on his body. In but the space of ten minutes, he would call forth more of his armies. If they could hold out until then, this world would be as good as his.
