CASEY HARPER
Casey Harper had decided to start his morning with a pleasant scroll around the campus, an activity that the young faerie hadn’t done since back during his first year at the Corrigan School. It was nice to be among the trees, as it gave Casey ample opportunity to think about the important things in life. In this case, who was the most attractive Jonas Brother? Each of the three has something different to bring to the table. Kevin has that loving father thing about him with that kid of his. Joe’s the resident bad boy. Or was anyway. That all changed when Nick stole the show all those years ago, with the hunk of man splashing out on his own. Oh that settled it. Nick was Casey’s favourite. The young faerie smiled at the thought and was about to even marvel aloud as to what a good day this was turning out to be so far. That was when the rain started, causing Casey’s mood to plummet. The sudden change of weather snapped the pointed eared teen back from his day dream, making him remember that he was actually incredibly exhausted. He sighed loudly in an overly dramatic fashion, running his delicate hands up his face and through his now damp, mint coloured hair, before moving them down and rubbing his bare arms. As he watched the rain begin to drizzle down around him, Casey realized that he probably wasn’t suitably dressed for the current change. Looking down slightly, as he navigated himself under the shade of a large coniferous tree, he took in what he had decided to wear this morning, his mind filling with regret. A green shirt over a white t-shirt, with a pair of denim short shorts just to top it off. He had neglected to put on shoes either, due to his love of the feel of grass between his toes. What a fucking idiot he had been. That was the last time he was trusting the weather report on that blasted news channel. Deciding that the only thing that could calm him now was coffee, the faerie speedily continued on his way, directing himself towards the Banquet Hall. No…not Banquet Hall. Mess Hall. Oh, humans really did have juvenile names for things. It didn’t take long for him to arrive at the building, but the journey hadn’t been short enough to stop Casey from getting drenched. Wiping his now slightly muddy feet against the building’s floor, he made his way into the queue at the coffee area. It didn’t take long until he was moving away from the counter with his new bought beverage; a peppermint mocha, with Casey taking a place at an empty table. He gazed around the room as he drank the delicious beverage, intent on spotting someone he knew. At the sight of Amethyst, Casey gave a quick and a polite smile, only for it to quickly fade after realizing that she hadn’t seen him. Figures! He was about to move his gaze on when she began to angrily argue with the barista. Casey simply watched excitedly, a bemused smile upon his face. This could get interest. Especially since from what he had heard, this girl had quite the temper sometimes! Eventually however, Amethyst ceased her arguing and by the looks of it settled with buying a regular coffee. Casey frowned, disappointed by the lack of action, although little did he know the fun wasn’t about to stop there. As she moved away, Casey watched as an obscene comment from a passing student caught her attention. Casey’s crafty smile began to creep across his face once more as Amethyst’s eyes changed in colour, resulting in chaos for the other student, whose coffee tray seemed to give way, resulting in the burning hot liquid to fall all over him. Casey let out a short laugh from where he was sat, only for it to die out at the sight of the insufferable wand-waving Richard himself seemed to jump into the action. With a few twirls of his fucking twig, he seemed to save by day by getting rid of the spilt coffee, and saving the student from being scolded. Boring! What made the situation even better though was that he then went on to confront Amethyst. Twig boy just had to read her her rights, didn’t he? The idiot. Casey watched in glee as a newcomer approached; Rick, and boy did he not look happy with Richard. Could today not get any better? Casey rose from his seat and crept forward, intent to get a better vantage point so that he could hear better. He watched in bemusement as the trio argued, with Casey’s tempted to give a quick cheer when Rick decided to grab Richard by the shirt. That was when Casey spotted the time however, after noticing another student nearby murmur something about getting to class. Really? Class now? As much as Casey really wanted to see Richard get a pummelling, he really didn’t want to be late for Miss Brown’s class again. Boy, could that women raise her voice when she needed to. Swearing slightly under his breath, Casey whipped the small specks of whipped cream from his drink of his face, and headed off to class, making sure however to use this situation to his advantage and walk directly past Rick, Richard, and Amethyst. He stopped briefly as he passed them, giving Rick a slight tap on the shoulders. “Mind breaking that magic stick of his, while you’re at it?” He jested, before carrying on towards the Quadrangle. ★★★★★ "Alright class, before we begin are we missing anyone today?" Miss Brown asked surveying the gathered group. As he spoke, Casey darted into the room, giving the woman a mocking salute as he did so. His feet were now even dirtier than before, despite the fact that the rain had stopped on his way here. A puddle had been the cause for that. A puddle which Casey had angrily swore at in front of a range of students, causing a chorus of laughter. Having used what was the last of his positive energy for the day in giving Miss Brown that salute, Casey collapsed back into the chair next to Tanya nonchalantly, reaching into his bag for his copy of Macbeth. Luckily for him, they weren’t due to start ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream’ for a few months now, which filled Casey with a brief amount of joy as he wouldn’t have to endure the jokes about him being the perfect choice for Oberon until then. Playing the King of the Faeries was something that Casey certainly didn’t have an interest in anymore.
