[@Aegis1650] No, you do not have to change your character. However, if it were possible, I suggest changing the character's background a bit. I know it is very unique to see a character from a different villagw rather than Konoha, but I decided to follow logic a bit more in this RP. For a Hidden village such as Konohagakure to accept another person from another Hidden village from say Amegakure, is highly unlikely. This is why I suggest that everyone creates a character that was born and raised in Konoha. I had always been iffy on the idea of characters from othwr villages travelling to Konoha from the start, but I decided to let it pass. If it is possible for you to change your character's birthplace, that would be amazing.
