Female Egyptian noble and a Macedonian general scenario might work out as a general plot; in the time of the conquests of Alexander the Great (Hellenic era). It's an era I think gets little press but is very awesome as the Macedonians stormed through the Persian Empire, which held Egypt and the Levant at the time. Alexander took the title of Pharaoh from Darius III on the battlefield, basically, in the Siege of Tyre, the Battle of Issus and the Siege of Gaza.

Such an RP might work better from the perspective of being on the march with Alexander's force, as that turned into a kingdom on wheels, if you are interested.
