Name: Nicolette Baudin Gender: Female Age: 19 Personality: Nicolette is quiet and introverted, though not particularly shy. She works hard to be organized and precise. She is a nerd with a lot of book smarts, but also naive and lacking in street smarts. She loves reading and learning new things, though sometimes she can be nervous about new hands-on experiences. Nicolette is particularly interested in history and dreams of becoming a Pokemon Historian. One of her major weaknesses is that she expects situations to go according to how they have gone in the past, and she can become confused or flustered by unexpected outcomes. She is interested in raising Pokemon as friends, but she doesn't have much experience battling. Nicolette views battles as a way to observe and contribute to a long-standing tradition of friendly competition honoring wars of the distant past. She doesn't dream of becoming a great competitive trainer, but she does give battling a try on occasion, largely because it seems to make Rush happy. Nicolette currently works part-time as a librarian's assistant while raising her two Pokemon. She is comfortable and content with her life. Content, but not happy. While part of her wants to stay safe at home with her books, another part has always craved a greater purpose, to play a larger role in the history that future generations will study. She spent most of her childhood studying and reading. Thus, she never had many friends, and she considered the family Furfrou Alphonse to be her best friend. Nicolette has always been particularly interested in Pokemon-related history. Part of her yearned to set out on grand adventures to witness history first-hand. However, she doubted her abilities to handle the perils of the wide world. Nicolette finally took her chance when she learned that a major conflict had just ended in the Orre region, and patient trainers were needed to help rehabilitate Pokemon from a mysterious condition called Shadow. She was matched with Rush the Electrike, largely because the organizers thought another canine-like Pokemon would help him adjust. Since then, Nicolette has aimed to stop being a passive witness to Pokemon history and start becoming a part of it. The problem is, she's not sure how to accomplish this goal... Home town: Camphrier Town, Kalos, but has been living in Phenac City, Orre, for two years Starting Pokemon: Alphonse Rene Gagnon IV: Furfrou; male; mid-thirties; docile nature; level 10; attacks: Tackle, Growl, Sand-Attack, Baby-Doll Eyes; Alphonse comes from a line of carefully bred Contest Pokemon, and he's proud of that lineage even though he has never won a Pokemon Contest himself. He has been the Baudin family pet since before Nicollete was born. He is calm, serious, and level-headed, always preferring to solve problems with words and wits. Following the rules is important to him, and he considers violence outside a formal battle setting to be disgracefully rude. Secretly, he's a little afraid of battling, though he won't let anyone know it. Alphonse has developed great patience (but also some vanity) through years of grooming fads. However, justice is important to him, and he will argue and/or fight fiercely against injustice, whether the offender is friend or foe. Though he's not very good at expressing affection outwardly, Alphonse cherishes his role as a father figure for Rush... troublesome though the Electrike may be. Rush: Electrike; male; older teen; bold nature; level 16; attacks: Electro Ball (egg move), Tackle, Thunder Wave, Leer; Rush was born to a Shadow Houndour father and a non-shadow Electrike mother. Cipher turned him into a Shadow Pokemon at just a few weeks old. Rush was trained to be a heartless fighting machine, and that's the only purpose in life he has ever known. When Cipher fell, he and some other Shadow Pokemon were purified and sent to live with "rehab" trainers. Rush is still getting used to his new life, and many things about non-shadow life confuse him. He is still easily angered, aggressive, and quick to fight. However, he is learning how to be curious and care about others. Rush is incredibly brave and feels most comfortable on the battlefield. His greatest fear is disappointing his "masters" Nicolette and Alphonse, a fear he faces every day in the attempt to learn how to be "normal".
Accepted.
Name: Veena Shodin Gender: Female Age: 16 Personality: Fun loving and calm, Veena takes after her father, someone she often looked up to. She isn't afraid to take chances and it can often end up biting her in the butt in one way or another but she bounces back pretty quickly. She's not one for taking things lying down and is loyal to those she deems worthy. She is very athletic and loves running around with her pokemon in the mornings, taking it as her time to think to herself and bond with her pokemon. Mornings are very important to them and without this morning run, her day usually doesn't go so well. When it comes to disliking and liking things, Veena is open to just about everything and is willing to at least try something once, just so she at least tell her father she tried when he tries to heckle her about it. Veena lives her life with eyes wide open, knowing that each day would bring some new adventure, something else to enjoy. Legendoflink17 on Deviantart.
Dark brown hair frames her tanned small face, oval in shape. She gets her eyes from her mother as they are large and a very deep shade of blue, the only feature she gets from her mother. She is relatively short (5'), a staple of her even shorter father but is built very well and is very flexible. She enjoys training with her pokemon, doing yoga and other such activities. Her wardrobe usually includes tight sleeveless shirts of varying colors, black and white being her favorites, and black skinny jeans. Her shoes are boots her mother designed a long while back and were a test pair she'd given to her daughter. The gloves were a gift from her breeder father. History: Veena grew up in a rather roller-coaster type life, never sure what sort of mood her parents would be in when they were together. After a while, her mother moved out of the nursery, tired of her father's (And his baby pokemon's) shenanigans, and rented her own studio where she began making and designing her own clothing line. Veena, though she spent most of her time with her father in the nursery, also spent a good deal of time with her mother's brother, Uncle Joe, who by some miracle, had managed to separate himself from the drama occurring in their family (Grandfather never did like like his daughter's choice in men). Her mother's side of the family was very well off, unlike her father's side who were not wealthy but not poor either and were content to stay that way. Uncle Joe had always been the person she'd run to when things weren't going very well in her own home and he taught her the power of meditation and the beauty of psychic pokemon and the comfort they could bring. When she turned 10, he gave her her first pokemon, despite her father's insisting on taking his own pokemon for her. Uncle Joe gave her a male Ralts who she later named Arthur. Since then, she became fast friends with this pokemon, learning all sort of things along side him. He and she often when to Uncle Joe's house in Agate Village and would train and meditate together. When she was 14, her father insisted that she take on another pokemon, this time one he'd bred for her. She couldn't exactly say no but she'd never had any intentions of having anyone at her side besides Arthur. However, she fell in love immediately with the pokemon he'd given her. A Riolu, small but fiesty. She laughed watching her try to attack every pokemon that seemed to even try to look at her wrong and she reminded her a lot of her mother. Which was why she decided to name her Vie, her mother's name being Violet. She had to deal with the jealousies between the two pokemon as well, which helped her grow as a trainer, though she'd rather have avoided it in the first place. Ralts wasn't exactly the strongest pokemon and Vie easily knocked him out, something she had to constantly scold him for. Home town: Phenac City Starting Pokemon: Ralts Lvl 10 Riolu Lvl 5 It still needs some work but I'm going to post it up right now as is because I need to go to a meeting now. Also, I may not be joining still, but I've really been craving a pokemon RP and I can't just... not try. Anyway, there she is. I'll finish her up later tonight.
Accepted.
