Toko Ling
To be frankly honest, Toko had only been half way paying attention to what was happening around him. People were being called out to get put in teams and he would eventually be called out as well. Toko knew that if anything, he'd recognise his name being said aloud, so with his eyes plastered on his notebook, he sat drawing a picture with a reasonable amount of skill. Meanwhile, he could tell that his close friend Seichi was excited for this. The boy was essentially sitting at the edge of his seat. Seichi and Toko had been friends for a very long time. It wasn't a stretch to call them best friends and their personalities complimented each other quite nicely. One might even call it cute. Seichi was the passionate one, the loud and hardworking ninja who didn't let anything get in his way while Toko was the quiet one who no one could quite see through. Toko would feel the nudge from Seichi and looked up for a moment to see how excited he really was. Those bright blue eyes were glistening and that bright smile was contagious. "I...hope we end up together, too..." Being in a team with Seichi was the only thing Toko wanted. It was ironic, really. The two of them were friends but it was quite obvious where the feelings laid for them both. Needless to say, the one person that could bring Toko out of whatever thought process occupying him was Seichi. "…and those are all of the squads. Please remain seated until the other Jōnin arrive." Turning his head towards the teacher, Toko blinked a few times and thought that he had missed something. Had his name been called out without him paying attention? No, Seichi, Asuka, Seji and a bunch of other students were still there. This was rather weird. "As for the remaining nine students who's names weren't called out… you have been advised to move to Class 23 as soon as possible." Very odd indeed. Slipping the notebook into his shoulder bag, Toko got up to his feet and followed Seichi and the others into the next room, once again taking a seat next to his friend. To be completely honest, he'd never have expected the following events at all. "Hey there! The name's Fuyuko Wakahisa, proud Jōnin of the Hidden Leaf Village. Pleasure to meet you guys!" Wow, this woman had passion and energy beyond any other teacher Toko had laid eyes on before. "Anyways… you guys must be wondering why you're here, right? You see, our wonderful Hokage has assigned all nine of you to a special squad that will be under my supervision for the first year or so. Of course, we will be doing normal missions like the rest of the three man squads, but here, you'll also be doing something a little bit different…" "A little different...? What's special about us...?" The thought would linger for a while as Toko looked around the classroom, seeing the group of people all talking amongst themselves. Okay, to be frankly honest, this bunch was rather weird. There wasn't a generic Genin among them. "So basically there's this organization that we gotta take down and blah, blah, blah, it's kinda complicated so I'll just keep the description pretty vague. Don't kill me yet, though. We still have introductions to get through!" Toko's eyes widened for a moment at the sound of an organisation. Were they being serious? They were sending a bunch of genin after some kind of top secret ninja organisation? No, perhaps not. Toko could just have been jumping to conclusions. But he had to admit, it was rather exciting. "Now, I'd like your name, your likes and dislikes, and… your favourite season. Pretty simple, right?" Wait, what? What about the super secret organisation bent on destroying the world? Oh well, it would have to wait...apparently. Seichi was quick to introduce himself, which was expected. After that Seji continued to introduce himself and this was presumably Toko's turn. "Hello." The boy spoke. "My name is Toko Ling." He tilted his head a bit, trying to place their new sensei. She was...weird. "I like sparring, cherry trees, flowers and summer." Wait, did Seichi tell her what seasoning he liked? Toko couldn't help but smile at that. The guy was just so cute. "I dislike winter and dishonorable warrior." He sighed softly resting his chin against his hand. "A pleasure to meet you, Sensei..." He finish, almost half heartedly.
