When the morning had begun for the villagers, Aldis was already out patrolling. As he always did he began by fixing a vigilant gaze towards the Twilight Cavern, the barest hint of an eerie orange glow mixing among the sea of orange and red hues of the coming dawn. Then as always it passed without incident as dawn began to give way to morning. The Sentinel's rigid posture relaxed, the visible tension leaving to the tune of a sigh of relief. A hand resting upon the hilt of his sword, he walked with steady confidence around the outskirts of the village. It was a route he had traveled countless times before, and one he performed no less than twice a day. On some days, when there seemed to be an ominous wind in the air, he would not be walking with such a relaxed demeanor. Yet today was not one of them, and as he once more came to face where the Twilight Cavern lie, there had been nary a hint of monster or bandit or anything else of concern. His morning patrol completed, Aldis cast a glance at the sun hanging low in the early morning sky. He cast one final look towards the Twilight Cavern, turning away to head towards the village. It wasn't long before he was making his way through the market, passing through the hustle and bustle with ease. Though merchants of all wares were present and clamoring to sell their goods, he slipped through unnoticed. As he kept an eye out for any would be thieves, making his way back towards Sentinel HQ, a particular woodcutter caught his eye. The corners of his lips twitched upwards in a small smile. Altering his course until he stood before the wood-piled blanket, he offered a nod of his head in greeting to the blacksmith currently doing business with the jovial man. He waited for them to be finished, giving the woodcutter a inquisitive raise of his eyebrow while he did.
