[hider=Personality] Theis, in short, is a man of simple and easy-going means. He abhors bullshit and would much rather just kick the front door in, if it means he's not standing around for an hour waiting for people to figure out the best way to breach a building. He's been noted as saying such;
 "If the bossman has made a plan, follow through with it. Unless there is something blatantly wrong with it, don't argue. Every minute wasted is possibly one less minute to capture the bad guy or one more life gone. The Pre-Briefing is the time and place for questions and suggestions, not in the middle of a battlefield. Just do what's been said to do and go. And for God's sake, don't freeze up. Nothing bothers me more than a man or woman that doesn't know what to do in a combat situation. If you're at a loss of your next plan of action, look to your squad leader or simply move to another position. Don't sit there and think about it. Aside from that, just give me a rifle and suture so I can some terrorist scum and save my buddy laying next to me."
In the field, he'll be straight-forward and to the point, wanting nothing more than finishing the mission and heading home. When the bullets aren't flying, however, he becomes much more relaxed, and even has the ability to pop a few jokes every now and again. 
   The biggest mistake anyone can make, however, is underestimating Theis' simple attitude. Behind the facade is a sharp and quick-thinking mind. If he sees hesitation, Theis is quick to take charge and move the ball forward. He is quick to analyze a situation and figure the best course of action. It might not always be the best action, but its better than sitting on his ass waiting for a grenade to blow his ass up. To repeat and finish, Theis is a man of simple means with a sharp mind. Leave the bullshit at home and get the mission done as efficiently and safely as possible.

[hider=Backstory] Born to a career military father and medical doctor mother, Theis lived a relatively modest, though strict, lifestyle. His father kept him disciplined and physically strong, while his mother tended to his mental fortitude. Some parents may have seen this as overbearing, Theis didn't shy away from it, nor thought of it as too much. He believed his parents were getting him prepared for the rigors of adulthood. When the time came for his compulsory military service, Theis whole-heartedly joined up. Thanks in no-small-part to his parents, Theis quickly set himself apart from his peers. Always at or near the top, Theis never wavered. Soon after basic training, he signed up to be a medic. 

Theis had learned a few things from his mother, but military medicine was much different than civilian medicine. He nevertheless rose to the challenge, and soon enough overcame it. After further schooling, Theis would become a field medic and serve in Operation Enduring Freedom. In this time, he had saved many of his fellow soldiers from certain death. During this time, Theis reached the rank of Sersjant (Sergeant.) Finally in 2012, thanks to his actions, the FSK would soon approach him to join their ranks. With a full recommendation from his senior NCO, Theis would come to accept the invitation. He had no idea what would be waiting for him during the new training, but he would be ready for it regardless.

The FSK's training hit him like a ton of bricks, sometimes it seemed, almost literally. The training was brutal, it was tough, but Theis endured. In between the grueling physical training, Theis would be given much more in-depth medical classes. These classes would range from dentistry, to veterinary care, to optometry and everything in between. During his training, Theis learned the proper techniques of assaulting isolated positions such as offshore oil rigs, as well as ship-to-ship operations. Theis didn't know how, but he retained all the knowledge and completed the physical and weapons training to become an official member of the FSK. Along with the completion of training, Theis would be automatically given the rank of Stasbssersjant. 

Theis would go on to make a name for himself. He continued to be active in Operation Enduring Freedom, taking part in Anti-Piracy operations around the Horn of Africa. He also participated in retaking oil rigs in the North sea from terrorists. Theis would also take part in hostage situations in and around Norway and the Middle East. Thanks again to his unwavering attitude and exceptional field medical skills, Theis would again be approached for a position in a Special Operations unit. This time, for a unit bigger than one country. Theis would come to again accept a new position in a new unit; Task Force Echo.
